Just to let you know, this video has low audio quality and doesn't feature pre-1993 indie-emo. This video is going to be reuploaded soon with better information
A thing I love about MWE is how organic it sounds, it sounds like humans playing human music that's not super compressed, grid aligned, drum replacement/samples etc, I find it pleasing to listen to
Proto midwest emo. The sound Cap'N Jazz used was also used by bands like Fuel and Greyhouse but all of it was just called "emocore". Very great call-out tho, they don't get enough recognition as the second emo band.
They’re pretty new and DIY. The band was pretty active on r/emo last year, don’t think they’re too interested in pushing out their music to a larger demographic tho

Switched them out last minute for something that struck me as more "emo". Very good indiemo/ midwest emo band tho.
I just uploaded a Hardcore Punk evolution video too!

I count whenever the song first pops up. It was on an EP before the album

Texas is the reason??
I dont think SDRE is midwest emo but just emo
They're borderline emocore and indie-emo. They are not "midwest emo". I probably shouldve put Giant's Chair in their place
Strictly ballroom band a picture
