- Isis has no good way to deal with the Classical hero of Greek... So if you have a rough map, it's sad.

Not being able to scout seems mitigated by what Isis is designed for, you get a ton of things which still make it a defensive civ that can push out with 1 or 2 tcs. Your mistake is probably not doing fast heroic age, not building an offensive army, then wasting A+E. As well as camels are the counter, not chariots, you are building a unit that loses to every unit he makes lol. If you were instead doing a typical rush with ancestors+eclipse you may have won but you were late and behind at least like 5 minutes for that. I haven't seen many good Isis rushes tho in recent years, even though I don't think it's nerfed in any way, which is weird, it used to be just a standard strat that made Isis the clear best god to pick.
With my gold being as open as it was I didn't see it as an option. I thought cutting the map up a bit by grabbing the middle TC would keep my gold somewhat safe which it did... Obviously misclicked eclipse which probably would have helped a lot, The real thing is that I found a winning position this game and blew it by getting distracted by a side build. Can't be losing SoO that easily.
I think you still had that game, could have held out, rebuilt that TC, taken out his siege ans use those villagers to quickly take down the siege then go back to resources and make some more villagers if you lose some since you had your trade route and control of gold mines and kept making progress pushing forward on his close TC. You could get some priests out for the lions?

Question from a noobie: why not get camelry against an army of cavalry and archers? Do camels not get bonus vs cavalry on Voobly?
They counter calvary and I believe unit only counters 1 type?
@@fengliu975 Yes but they are very fast and archers get no bonuses against them, so I thought they would be a prime pick against a cavalry+archers army
@@kitcarson2776 oh bolt mentioned the camel's issue is that yes it gets bonus vs calvary but if you compare the stats they are not that good stats wise especially as the Greek calvary gets stronger after upgrades it's almost not worth building them. That's his argument anyways
@@kitcarson2776 yeah his math works cause hippikon is classical age unit with more hp about same cost and gets 3 upgrades while camels only gets 2 add all armor upgrades and you are kind of just going even for same cost
