BUTTERSCOTCH’S STORY
Meet Butterscotch, a gorgeous 19-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter, who came to CHR from a devoted private owner. After many wonderful years together, Butterscotch’s owner was tragically diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. For the sake of Butterscotch’s care, her owner turned to CHR.
What comes to mind when you think of a “rescue horse”?
Perhaps, you immediately picture an emaciated creature, neglected by their caretaker. Butterscotch’s journey to CHR tells another story - one of love and compassionate surrender by a responsible owner.
At CHR, we know that life is unpredictable. The threat of judgment might cause an owner to drop their horse off at the auction or risk animal control intervention. CHR offers horses and their owners the peace and dignity they deserve.
