Quite saddened by some of the less than enthusiastic comments regarding the raffle. I challenge anyone to find a youtuber more passionate about his subject than Paul. And to use the profile he has earned to make some money for mental health charities should be applauded by subscribers, regulators and hosts alike. Keep up the great work Paul. It's really sad isn't it that people feel the need to make comments like that far too many busy bodies around with nothing better to do than poke their nose in where its not needed.
It's those very same people that then go off and report things to authorities.

What happened
@@jamesspyrou6847 I made a school boy error. Mistook walls for paths on OS maps and found myself 7 miles in and lost. Not enjoyable.
When all this craziness is over, I'm coming over to the UK just so I can cook all of my meals in my tent!⛺🍲

Just a tip: If you make the pumpsack upside down, there is a smaller valve inside to inflate your sea to summit pillow too!

I recently purchased the Klymit Static V Luxe insulated , absolutely outstanding piece of kit . 30 inches wide , no way of falling off as a side sleeper. Coupled with Thermarest Questar 20 -6C and a Sea to Summit Reactor Plus liner . Ultimate sleep system . Great video as always Mr Messner 👌👌👌👌
I love the sound of rain on my tent in the morning.
Coat your steaks with oil before wrapping them up, saves carrying oil.
I wrap my lettuce in KFC.. saves me carrying a bargain bucket
@@JoeZUGOOLA yes but you should always coat your steak with oil before cooking and not put oil in the pan. I once went into KFC and asked if they did chicken…the door is that way sir.

I have to admit I would have sliced the pork, then done the couscous in the pork pan to deglaze the pan and get all that lovely flavour in the couscous as well- ohhh hark at Jamie here.

I have the Etherlight XT Insulated Womens. There should be little black velcro-like pieces that came with the pillow. You can stick those on the pad to "lock" it in. Unfortunately S2S doesn't sell them separately. I wish they did. I tried using regular velcro on my other pad to be able to use the pillow lock system but it doesn't work. S2S does sell a pillow case with the pillow lock system for US$15 so you can basically get that and use it with any pillow of choice or stuff a jacket or other clothes in the case and it works well too.

Sound of rain on your tent? Oh yeah, sounds great! Especially waking up on the fourth morning to hear it yet AGAIN!
I find that by the fourth day of rain, all your stuff, and all your clothes, are DAMP.... and I mean even the gear that wasn't unpacked yet. We know all it needs is a couple of hours of sunshine to dry things out, but two hours of rain becoming mere drizzle doesn't do it!

I still find camping in UK to be funny. Cant fathom the idea of having an open tent like that. Here is Canada biting insects form clouds in the summer and we have to "bear proof" our food bags. Your camping seems so simple and easy by comparison. Cheers.

Just bought the rectangular version of this pad. First impressions are very good and it was a breeze getting it rolled up and back in the bag. My previous Sea to Summit Comfort SI was a nightmare to squeeze in the bag. That was a good warm pad even with a puncture.

Hey great vid mate! I have the sea to summit women's ether light xt, and that pillow, there should be velcro to add to the sleep mat, I could see the marks on it! It is the best 160 quid I have spent, smaller than yours, maybe lighter, wow!!! Anyway, great watching your adventure, entered the draw this time, great idea mate!

I just bought a Jo-Go from Kickstarter for my coffee, it’s a stainless steel straw with an attached washable SS filter at the end so you can just drink ground coffee straight from the cup, no nonsense. I haven’t tried it yet obviously but it looks really useful for be out in the wild, plus no coffee coloured teeth.
Just a wee tip with the Sea to Summit airstream sack, if you turn it inside out, the inner plastic grommet should fit the pillow valve, so it works on both mat/pad and the pillow!

Great video, I grabbed a shout out for Sheffield? in the video, my old stomping ground, havent seen Sheffield for 30 years now, some great camping and caving out on the doorstep of Sheffield.
I noticed the mattress, looked comfortable, the one I have is a self inflator, some kind of self expanding foam in it, you cant beat a good sleeping system, makes up for any other unpleasantry during the trip.

Not sure if anyone has already said this further down but the pillow lock is actually just velcro stickers..there should have been 4 in the pack to stick on were the white outine is..only really works with pillows like the aeros that have a fabric cover

Another great video Paul, thank you. I just bought those Kenco coffee pods on your recommendation. I imagine that anyone who likes coffee with two sugars must love those pods. Alas, I don't usually have sugar so those pods are sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeter than a sweet thing. They are very clever though - the milk turns super frothy.

Hey Paul, great content as always. I have the sea to summit ether light xt and pillow combo, the mat came with 4 sticky Velcro tabs that stick onto the mat where you see the shapes printed, to be honest I’m not sure I would bother with them though. I have been switching between my exped synmat7 ul and the s2s ether xt, I find the ether xt much comfier but the exped chair kit is great for when you need to spend a lot of time in the tent, set up in the lounger position is a great way to chill out in the tent.
EDIT:
Just tried the ether xt in the exped chair kit and it seems to work ok so hopefully the best of both next trip👍
hey paul i have the same pillow and a non insulated version of the pad,
there should be a couple of velcro strips with the pad. u need to stick em on the indicated spots.
