Thank you, I have the same exact opinion. For me, I like that they didn't change the weapons looks too much. I mean with re sorce they made them more darker, but that was it visually, and redux just basically went, yeah screw being faithful, let's make the p90 a criss vector, and make the m3 completely different.

@@f67739 agree but css is a cs 1.6 remaster, so it's models need to feel like 1.6 but realistic, that's why csgo weapons are kinda clanky

Redux seems to be an asset flip. I recognize many of these sound effects and models. The rework seems to have effort put into it to continue looking like CS:S but better.

@@bigfat2286 asset flipping is just gathering a bunch of assets with no original work. Think of GMod M9K, none of the weapon models and animations are original.
But yeah I prefer Re-Source because I feel like there's a bit of conflict with Redux

Re-Source is cooler, due to still having the CS:S feeling
What would be pretty great IMO is having the Re-Source gun models be animated in Redux fashion or akin to it. It’d stay true to the source material and put a nice looking twist on it.

I wish that re-source did more with the pistols then change sounds.

Speaking of the deagle, I wish resource revamped all the animations as well as they did with the deagle.
Redux is basically Payday 2 viewmodels, complete with reload styles.
And they have cod ghost hands.

Redux is just a clusterfuck of different models, sounds and animations ported from other games and artists that don't gel, some of it looks and feels nice, but most of it looks amateurish and inconsistent.
I agree with this except that the animations in resource are literally the same garbage animation from the original game. They’re horrible. Like the worst animations valve has ever done.

i actually like css-resource because it adds some really nice variety that a lot of mods need, css redux is just the typical horrible position, obnoxious animation, and ripped sounds and models from everywere.

Re-Source is like a MMod for CSS, the weapons look very nice for my point of view, and the sounds are like (What i think) almost close to real life.
While Redux is just a mod with stolen Unity 3D weapon models (And one of them is the Auto Shotgun)

i love how redux does not keep the original models, the mod has its own models, which i love, because i think the M4A1 is too thin in Re-source, and obviously CS:S.

Why are the viewmodels so big and so centralized in redux? I get that last gen it was the style but that was for playing a TV at 720p. It cuts off so much of your vision.

Re-Source is just a few models changed and new textures with sound, nothing too special. And Redux is more cool, but it seems like all of those models were taken from Call of Duty, Battlefield and Insurgency.
