😱
i feel like every horror games should have this sort of level, like, base game all relatively fast paced and horrifying, and then this 10 minute long "calm before the storm" place, where you´re forced to just take a breather and think about what you just went through- catch up with what you´ve seen and done and heard.
I agree!
This will always be my favorite horror game.
mine too
Yep
It sounds weird but I like to listen to this soundtrack sometimes in the morning when there are almost no people on the street
I decided to find this track because it is 5am and there are birds chirping
Same
me also
I have to say this track has to be my favourite of the game. Despite the overall mood of the game being dark and depressive, this track gives calmness. And with the context of the game, i associate it with the feeling of "I f*cking made it !!!", where you have travelled through literal hell of monsters, crazy nonsense and horror constantly having the main objective of your journey - reach home, and now you are finally here, slowly walking through the quiet neighbourhood in the beatiful sunrise with birds chirping. Montsers dont scare you anymore as they wont stop you now. So i was just walking around enjoying the peace and the beatiful surroundings.
And i have to add, for a 1998 game engine, this level looked incredibly magnificent, especially the lights !
Thank you, I'm glad you like the track! And I agree, this map was also one of my favourite areas of the game
i totally agree with you!!!, it also have the Half Life vibes, just like an adventure ~
i really love how right after you kill the doctor the whole game just gets peaceful like that for a while
Finally... Home...
Yeah...this is intense. it brings some sort of Melancholy, Nostalgia (Cry of Fear) even. i've always struggled with overwhelming thoughts, and this exact track at least helps me sleep. Thank You.
I'm really happy this track helps you sleep!
There’s something about this specific track thats just so, cathartic, I don’t know what.
This sky is so beautiful, and this is one of my favorite songs from the game :)
This is my favorite song from the game and that already sets the bar high. One thing I've always wondered was what makes the sound on can faintly hear at 3:32?
When I first heard this song, I didn't have the volume cranked up. After giving it a listen by itself, I started to discover all of the beautiful sounds that make up this song. I've been scratching my head about what... I guess, "creature" I'm hearing throughout the song like at 1:35, 1:54, and 3:32. (It might not even be a creature or living being, but that's what my brain is telling me.)
Thank you for listening to my songs! If I remember correctly, I recorded a bird outside and slowed it down by 50%, and I created the rest of the song on top of this soundscape, hope that clears it up for you!
Ah, so it's birds. I'm content with that answer. Honestly, I'm just really impressed with how this song came to be. It's so good.
Its birds. Sounding nostalgic and calming as well as strange and sad.
oh so kirkville is missing from the youtube generated ost playlist
CoF is my favorite game... It brings me peace, horror and happiness all at once, even if I'm maybe too young to play it (I'm literally 13, in two months 14) its still an awesome game, and oh my, did i talk about how it made me feel when i first played it at age 11? I was scared as a mouse is from a cat, but now?... I feel safe whenever i hear the cry of fear soundtracks, and would love to at some point create something with you or andreas rönnberg! Even tho I'll never be able to, because I'll stay unnoticed, but i like creating stories, either of myself or original characters or maybe even simon? Oh who knows... But for now, thank you so so much! Sincerely, Chris Leon :)
I'm glad the game is a comfy retreat for you, and you should definitely create things if you feel like it! And if you want, share your creations on the internet. Keep creating and releasing and you might even find your own audience!
Coming back to this game after VERY long time of not playing (since PewDiePie covered it on his channel so many years ago). Almost everything feels very familiar about Simon. You are getting constantly attacked by your own worst possible thoughts, and you are not safe even during the day. You are trying and trying very hard to be a functional person in society, only for it to just dogpile on you even more. Being lonely, bitter and angry really can destroy you inside out, and you are switching between depressive episodes and episodes of questioning of will you ever be free from those monsters that are gnawing on your mind. And this soundtrack captures that uncertainty fully.
muddasheep the goat
Hi mudda! love this song, i haven't quite reached this part in the game, but i can tell that your work in this and other songs is perfect.
It gives you that strange vibe of being watched despite you not seeing a single enemy, yet it feels like someone's intruding on you, and i think that's what makes this song pretty cool.
Hi! Oh yeah that describes it pretty well (: Thanks for your kind words, my day didn't go so well, so your comment cheered me up, thank you!

As fragile as a robin , as strong as dawn itself 💖

As fragile as a Robin
As strong as Dawn itself

Twas early in the Morning
The Storm had gone to bed
The Sun was shining shyly
And i was very glad
A tiny message on my phone
I had no choice but play
Through breeze-torn shreds of morning mist
My mind drifted away
Off to a land of beauty
We traveled on this song
Suddenly i realised
I'd been here all along
Twas not a land of fairytales
Ach nay , twas not indeed
Twas Earth , the place that i call Home
I landed softly on my feet
No longer i feel all alone
And therefore i thee greet

This Guy's Music really really Touches me
@@FlockOfHawks That was beautiful :O Thank you very much!!
@@FlockOfHawks Hi again. Hadn't expected to find you here, even after Project Einherjar.
Hi @@forgeofspherusmagna8377 ! i have deepest respect for Muddasheep : he's an island of quality and uniqueness in an ocean lo-fi copy cats , not unlike Mike MacDee and if i may say so - but i won't even though it rhymes :o)
@@FlockOfHawks I agree. Muddasheep's a genius when it comes to his music stuff. Especially with what he did for Cry of Fear and the Half-Quake trilogy for Half-Life.
thank you ..super
thank you!
I want to die
why do we exist?
I guess nobody really knows the answer to that. I've asked myself the same question multiple times, and I believe it's the little moments that are worth living for. And just in case, I'd like to tell you that the world is better with you in it. If you can, reach out to someone you know, or call a suicide hotline. Or reach out to me via email, I can't take the pain away, but I can listen to your story: muddasheep@gmail.com
