    Just ordered the black one. I really like the original Curve, however it’s so much nicer having something that’s both adjustable and portable.

    I wanted the original but I am moving and will need an item which can fit a nomadic lifestyle. Your video has been really helpful. Thank you!

    I have two. Love it. Just be careful that if your laptop has a case, give it enough of an angle to hold the laptop in place. It can slip off and if the screws aren't tight, the stand will gently drop. I find the 16 inch heavy laptops may be a little too much.

    I wish this was aluminium too.
    Man hearing Jeff say “Twelve south” sends me back to the good old days of the “Book Book” for iPhone 4 and 12yr old me being introduced to Jeff the leg!

      Wow, thanks for this comment. Talk about going back down memory lane. How old are you now?

    FYI, the height is actually from 2 to up to 22 inches (top of the macBook display).

    My stand has problems with keeping my macbook pro 16 at extreme angles. I have tightened the bolts but it still there even though it leans back only to some degree (not drastically).

    Dope product!
    Do you reckon the hinges to be sturdy and long lasting?

    I have a similar stand for my 2009 macbook, but i am worried that this angle might damage my 250GB Serial ATA hard disk drive. It is not a solid state drive. What is your opinion?

    Can i use this for ipad pro 12.9 inches with and without Magic Keyboard?

      @JeffBenjam  Рік тому

      You can, yes, although I wouldn’t necessarily say it was designed with that specific use case in mind.

    Hey Jeff, what is that slick keyboard at 4:44?

    • @JeffBenjam
      @JeffBenjam  2 роки тому +1

      It's the Nuphy Air 60 (link in description). Quality keyboard, though some complain about its lack of customization. I personally like it a lot.

    First time viewer. Great video presentation, audio quality. But I felt the intro was wasteful of my time. Thanks for the review!!

    Can the lid of a MacBook Pro be shut and opened whilst on the stand?

    • @JeffBenjam
      @JeffBenjam  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, that should be okay. Just ensure the setup is stabilized. The main thing your advised against is raising the stand with the MacBook on top.

    • @larsmellick8677

      @@JeffBenjam cool thanks! I’ve seen some stands that block the lid from fully closing so just wanted to check

      @@larsmellick8677 Now you've got me second-guessing myself! Give me a sec, going to test it.

    • @JeffBenjam
      @JeffBenjam  2 роки тому

      @@larsmellick8677 Okay, just tested. So at more extreme angles (i.e. ~45 degrees) the lid does ever-so-slightly run into the feet that keep it supported. You can easily resolve this just by sliding the MacBook up a bit. At lesser angles, opening and closing poses no issues. Hope that clears things up.

      @@JeffBenjam that’s super helpful, thank you! I just like to be able to leave the MacBook on my stand closed when not using. Cheers :)

    Ugg, I just bought a ParcSlope 2 to replace my non adjustable curve.

    • @JeffBenjam
      @JeffBenjam  2 роки тому

      Hmmm...ParcSlope is pretty nice as well though, and might be better depending on your particular needs.It's also a bit more low key.

      parcslope is amazing. For my setup it's perfect. I also have a modded monitor arm as my main stand which is by far the best stand if you're stationary
