- Steven gets fuzzy when he plays Xbox 360 games in 4:3 Standard Definition!
I had a microphone die on me at the last second. That's why the on camera clips have terrible mic quality. I might redo this video in the future with a better mic. I'm so sorry about that

Badass video man, I understand the mic dying isn't ideal, but it does radiate 2006 youtuber energy
I hate that some people expect people to have essentially studio microphones (when they are very costly) and complain when theres static or not a “good mic” and disregard the quality of content because the quality of the mic.
Fantastic video!
The other comments already say how I feel about the webcam mic quality so I’ll say this instead: You seem passionate about the subject and I think that it comes through in your voice. I’ve watched many videos where the voice behind the camera was monotone and basically reading from a list. If you are able to find a better mic to record with and keep talking about subjects you are passionate about I’m sure you will be able to grow your channel!
I had my xbox 360 hooked up to my 27 inch CRT for a couple years before I got a widescreen flat panel. Halo 3 and Call of Duty 2 and others were great in 4:3. this brought back some memories.
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved! Ah, the memories.
lol when I was in highschool i 'acquired' a 360 and played halo reach and black ops on a old ass 4:3 box tv i found on the side of the road, whenever i think of '360 days' my mind corrects gameplay to square screen instead of widescreen like a lot of ppl had. i got money now but i kind of miss the simplicity of those days not gonna lie
It's so funny because I was literally talking about how the 360 handled 4:3 a few minutes ago and this video popped up on my home page! Even if I know it's not gonna happen, I really do wish developers went back to supporting this aspect ratio, especially since it's been slowly picking up traction again in the past few years.
great video man! this is how i beat resident evil 5 splitscreen - right on top of eachother!
4:32 Ah, Nuts & Bolts was innovative in more ways than I thought! It even introduced overly small text to console gaming! :P
But seriously, though - game developers really should test if their game's text is legible on a far-away TV screen. And not just on their computer monitors.
Your live action segments need better audio quality consider recording with a clip-on mic or mic stand rather than camera mic.
I'm curious which X360 games had better framerates in standard definition.
A lot of the time, the image was just downscaled so there were no fps benefits.
But sometimes there were. E.g. the framerate in Tomb Raider Legend and Quake 4 is a lot more stable in 480p.
Dude I had a HD tv in 2005. 2011 wtf?
You've gotta work on the audio. That's going to cost you a lot of viewers
