Um, because city leaders own property there?

THIS IS A LOAD OF BULL PHIL!!!! I LIVE ON LAKE AUSTIN AND WE PAY HUGE TAXES!!!! BECAUSE MY NEIGHBORS ON EITHER SIDE OF US ARE NOT HOMESTEAD HOMES THEY EACH PAY $40,000 PER YEAR IN TAXES JUST TO OWN A HOME ON LAKE AUSTIN!!!!!! WE PROTEST OUR TAXES EVERY YEAR BECAUSE THEY ARE SOOOOOO INSANE!!! IF THIS ARTICLE HAS ANY TRUTH IN IT, THEN THERE ARE CERTAIN ELITE PEOPLE NOT PAYING THEIR SHARE OF TAXES!! WE CERTAINLY DO FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS!!!
What does one do exactly to afford a home on the lake? Just curious.
Wealthy people not paying their fair share of taxes?! Nooo! Say it isn't so!!
One solution, maybe move out?
