Hey happy to see this video! I have low porosity hair and while to keep it moisturized I have to do it every 3-4 days. Still kept getting single strand knots and I wasn’t scissor shy to combat them. I started doing this same process and realized my hair is healthier this way. Love my coils but I can’t get them to act right 😩

@@lstennis6185 whatever u do give it some time ...but a added tip because ure ends may have already split...when u put ure hair in big twist, just trim the little ends...as time goes by with finger detangling...u will start to see ure hair doesn't knot up that much anymore, or shed as much

@@millymurray1 yes I know to do that I just can’t properly cut hair but I try my best. I was happy to see your video because it shows hair can still be health if u blow dry. my hair is bra strap length n shedding has decreased but when it’s coily I lose a lot. So your video was a great sign for me

I've seen a few people do the blow dryer method to reduce fairy knots AKA single strain knots, but it never clicked into my brain until now. 🤦🏽‍♀️ It's late at night, but first thing in the morning I'm going to go buy a hair dryer and make sure it has a cool setting. Thank you.

SAME! Honestly, recently, I realized in like ten years of watching these videos, it's the ONE tip I just ignored for some reason, probably told myself "they said no heat!". I've been doing it two months, now..and I'm kicking myself. I would have had such long hair by now. It makes such a difference in the land of Fairy knots😯

My hair was flourishing until I caught Covid. I don't know what was in those medications but it made my hair so weak. It breaks so easy now. I had to big chop split ends twice. I think it helps to be oh so gentle with your hair. I'm gonna get this hair long and strong again. Great tips.

do you do this weekly on your wash day? and have you noticed any damage or change to your curl pattern?

Hey I used to have that problem as well. But I found that deranging in the shower works best for me. I usually do a pre poo treatment as well beforehand and I don’t have to detangle to long anymore. Types of pre poos I do are either: aloe Vera gel on hair from the plant itself, olapex no 2 and 3, or a hot oil treatment.

Keeping my hair stretched helped me SOOO much with detangling. Made it faster and easier. I usually just put in my products then put it in one big braid.
