The team she played with in Iowa... Gabby, Kate, etc. came to see CC jersey get retired. Thats a big deal in my book. Then Coach White of the Fevers came to Iowa to see CC'S jersey being retired. All her immediate family and Conner were there beside her. Then you had her Hawkeyes Coaches there. Of course, the Iowans came too. And the Iowa Hawkeyes WON over USC. Then you got the USC team honoring CC by stsying after the game and wstching her jersey retire. So, it was special. CC is the GOAT.

Iowa had NO business being in the chip if it wasn't for Caitlin. The coached all confessed you can't stop her. With her GPA she could have played for Any college to guarantee championships. Instead she built a ridiculous fan base while scoring 3951 pts and 1144 assists. Those numbers will Never be passed in 139 games. Men or woman. They are as Safe as Wayne Gretskys career point record! It absolutely unheard-of of for point guards to control a game like she does. Magic is the only one that puts up numbers that look similar to hers. That is the Only one.
She's a very humble celebrity that's the kind of celebrity to look up to and she's the only one that I know of

I've watched a few of these events. Mostly men having their number/jersey retired. This was one of the, if not the, best. God bless the people of Iowa and around the world that have supported her and come to see this event. God bless CC for being an inspiration to young people as well as a example to follow and live by. Mostly, God bless her family. Great kids don't happen by accident. They come from great parents or leaders in their family.

I moved to Iowa from Canada in 1991. A lot of people ask me why Iowa of all the places? This ceremony and the words spoken from both coaches and Caitlin say it all. I am really proud to call it home.

I watched her from Canada, I watched her from Muscatine and Iowa City. Lucky enough to see her in person and will continue that with the Fever. Forget about what she did on the court for a moment, what did she do off the court? She handles all adversity with grace, dignity, and style. Thank you for all you did CC! You are the GOAT and you are the best role model for kids,,, and adults!!!

@@dawnkeithI am a huge fan of Iowa University, even though I am a three time Syracuse University graduate and currently live in Georgia. The women's college basketball program built by Lisa Bluder and CC is pure class, and there is nothing greater in all of college sports then the Hawkeye Wave. I spent a week in Dubuque, Iowa for business and absolutely fell in love with the people, who are salt of the Earth! Again, consider yourself very lucky and fortunate that you live there!

Absolutely one of the greatest things I have ever seen in sports was when Iowa took down the undefeated defending champions South Carolina in the national semifinal game two years ago. I fell in love with CC, Lisa Bluder, and the Iowa program that night. I never thought I would ever watch a woman's basketball game, but I wanted to see what the fuss was about, and I have pretty much watched every game CC has played ever since. I even traveled from Georgia to Dallas to watch her play with the Fever last year. It was the night she set this single game assist record with 19. She should have had 25, but her teammates didn't convert on some of the shots they should have.

My first favorite player was Sue Bird. Then came years of no appetite for women's basketball. I stumbled upon a game in which Iowa was playing and mesmerized with Caitlin Clark's play because I am a fan of Jason Kidd, Stephen Curry, Jason Williams, and MJ. She has that unique ability which these players have. Makes teammates better.
