Thanks again for making the trek down Benjie. Had a blast brotha! Definitely wanna do it again. Hoping water temps come up soon and the sand crabs show so we can get on some of the better eating species we’ve go out here. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

I went out Saturday so 4/29 and got my first taste of surfperch action all on the lucky craft using the setup you recommended basically. 903 trifecta lite but a twinpower 3000 and 30lb braid to 15lb mono thanks for being my Sherpa!
Oh wow that's so awesome! Man, getting on a perch bite with the LC is SO much fun. Great job getting out there and casting, you were rewarded for the effort!
Great video as always (minus josh). Can't wait to get out again. Hopefully ill get to stay the whole the next time. Bummed i missed out on the good bite but happy you got to get on some!
Thanks Peter, really appreciate having the chance to fish with you, let's definitely do it again this year. And try to get out in the bay too. So much I wanna do, so little time...

Thanks Leonard, it's definitely so much fun to just get into a bite. I get caught up in the grind of chasing "big" fish and I forget that that's not why I started fishing. I hope you're well!!
Hey John! Appreciate you! Please know I'd love to share that time with you...it's tough figuring out the schedule but please stay in touch and lets make it happen.
Perch are the bluegill of the ocean, small but aggressive to the point of foolhardiness. I once caught a 6" to 8" perch on a LC Surf Pointer in big, deep surf, it barely got a barb of the rear treble in its mouth. I think it's because they're schooling fish and when they're feeding they have to be quick or else the other guy will get their food Then when you hook into a nice one it's just fun fishing, and good eating. This winter-spring were tough surf fishing conditions in SoCal. What date was this video?
It sure has been a funky season of fishing. Things seem to be trending up finally...water temps are slowly rising...hopefully we'll have awesome Summer conditions. This was filmed on March 10th.
Great video! I just started to throw jerk baits for perch but many of them are getting hooked above the mouth rather than in it. Why might this be happening?
Hey there! If I had to choose one of those, it would be the Cherry Berry. Metallic Sardine is a classic and is always good to have in the box, along with the MS Anchovy (my favorite out of the old school colors). Electric Grunion can be hard to find so if you see one, not a bad idea to grab it.
Hey Duy, thanks for the comment. If you're willing to email me (benjiekimfishing@gmail.com) I'm happy to answer any questions and point you in the right direction. Tight lines!

Oh crap. I’m gonna have to bring it. And probably find better table fare than perch. 😂

i totally agree with the slow retireve. i catch the most perch when i stop reeling and bend over to grab a crab lol. they like the pause.
Awesome!

Nice to see you again Benjie if I were to choose one, would it be cherry berry, metallic sardine or electric grunion? Thanks❤

Which beach in SoCal do you like fishing? I'm in Simi valley.
I live the honeybadger baits
For sure, great guy and awesome baits!
which beach is this? It look familiar but I just can't tell which one.
Big Laut Fishing... Interesting name. 'Laut' is sea, ocean in my language.
