They are just tossing stuff into a furnace with no additives or even quality control... their QC guy is probably a blind dude sitting in a shack with a roll of "QC PASSED" stickers...

That's actually a quite sensible use for this kind of "metal": many household appliances like washing machines, desk lamps etc. come with a large slab of some nondescript metal for added weight/stability. Better than poured concrete, I guess. Also gym weights etc., they don't need to have particularly good qualities.
Not so much. We've seen this style of casting done to make safety-critical parts, like brake drums and such. That is not better than putting the stuff back in the earth or using a rational process with sorting and QA and such.@@PackthatcameBack

They definitely need to have a covalence magnet sorting the metals out instead of just throwing it all into one giant melting pot. Those are low remanence silicon steel which even rolled into sheet in these bastard conditions would be better than what a lot of motor and transformer factories of this tier use. Same with melting out the aluminum from those motor rotors. There's a good 1,500°F difference between where aluminum and steel melt so temperature control wouldn't be critical. Just use an oven so the steel cores don't sit in the molten aluminum and dissolve iron into it.

And then used as a ballast or the likes. since it is no clean metal. or aluminium, copper or the likes. - open hearth furnace, - some of the oldest and most primitive furnaces. but for the product they make, and there must be a demand, otherwise they would not make them? Safety enforcement, air pollution, smoke pollution, all non existence. Suppose al these not doing them are reasons why they can produce what they are producing?

You guys should to take a rickshaw and make it more heavy duty and turn the back into the front weld some flat steel plate around the basket and put Hydraulic selinder underneath to lift heavy loads for hauling scrap to the melter 😊
It's all come full circle, hasn't it ? The steel made here fails so often, there are dozens of other channels dedicated to fixing those things that break. When they can't be fixed anymore, they wind up back here.
At least they did use safety shoes and heavy gloves. I wonder what the end product is used for, simple objects that dont need quality steel, I imagine.
