Soapy water has the same effect and is much cleaner and probably easier to plug the tire. I did this trick for years now, have for sure more than 500 hours on tubliss and it still looks new. I usually put 0.3 liters of soapy water

@@hardenduro very low, pressure gauge doesnt read it. I wore out my old tubliss quickly before i started doing this

I think this makes sense. The interesting part was about the dish soap and the emulsification.
Is that a theory or do you actually have evidence that you’ve seen that shows that that’s true?

Good idea
i usually change tyres around 30/50 hours
I use armourall i think it leaves a slightly oily residue inside and thats why i have not had any friction wear

Good idea. Simpel kichen oil is cheaper and does not dry or getting absorbed by rubber

3 PSI? Wow that is really low psi. Ive ridden singletrack with tubliss at 6 to 7 psi and it climbs anything I can aim the bike at.
But you can tell on corners and etc, the tire is really low. It handles very different but I got used to it.
I would think the tire rubbing the inner bladder doesnt happen much with a little more psi.
The salad oil sounds good though!
