With that limited amount of video of Brewer here, how can anyone dislike this pickup? I want to see more out of him. His size doesn't seem to be a problem because of his quick feet and positioning on his blocks. I sure hope he's durable.
Loved your review/analysis and that fact that you included video footage. You have a new subscriber. Could have shown some pass protect plays. Supposedly that's his weakness!!
He’s under sized…. Pt of attack anchor worries me…. But he seems to have great speed to get to second level and uses Leverage really well…. Underrated signing. 🐬⬆️🔥
The LG on the Titans made a fantastic play too...he really stopped the DT in his place with his quick hit before peeling...but yeah the center was cat quick and has some strong hands/shoulders. I saw a little bit of Dwight there the way he extended his arms and held the man with his hands. I really thought Connor looked good last season when he was healthy but he just could not stay on the field. But any upgrade to the OL I am all for...to me that and the DL after philips went down were our two biggest weaknesses against the good teams we got pushed around.
He’s “athletic” in the run game, but he’s underpowered. He had huge troubles against power. He had difficulty holding up in pass protection, and could not reliably displace those huge nose tackles that a C is often tasked with. He’s plucky and I like him, but our offense suffered because of that. Not quite as much as having the worst LT in the NFL for two seasons running, but it was pretty tough.
Still would of drafted JPJ need to start building your line and it starts with your Center getting your QB the ball properly and we still would of ended up with a good pass rusher in Mo Kamara
This is confusing. The other moves the titans have been making indicate they're moving towards building on what they have. Why let an élite player go from their area of Greatest Need, their o-line? What are you not showing us??
Great, bad snaps cost us 2 games last year. Most importantly, the 1st KC game. That team was rolling on O and D in the second half just to see it fold vecause of one if the most basic and routine play in the game. I mean the only activity more basic than a snap is effing running with a ball. I dont mean running well i mean your ability to accelerate in one direction without falling over after a single step
I love King Henry but, what in the hell was this man doing out there last year? He looked like he was running scared because he wasn’t trusting the design of the play and, wasn’t being patient and hitting the gaps like he was supposed to. Then that left him running straight into a pile of defenders every time. Like. Normally he has always been good about hitting his gaps like he is supposed to, even when it’s muddy and doesn’t get a ton of yards. That was like he couldn’t trust anything and no one ever tried pointing out that he was doing it, so he just kept doing it. There were several of those that he normally turns into 15-30 yards bursts, that he got killed for 4 yards and 0 reasons.
I made a comment in part on having the “worst LT in the NFL…” above. Aaron Brewer usually made his reach blocks but at sub-300lbs., he had some trouble displacing many much larger DTs. When that would happen (which was a common occurrence), LT’s losses would spill onto Henry’s feet, IF the rusher didn’t get to the QB first. Not coincidentally, the season before AB started at C for us, he started at LG, and that same lack of power was evident. Many plays would see both the LT (Dennis Daley) and AB in the QBs lap or at Derrick Henry’s feet. Sometimes, simultaneously with the handoff.
@@josephnewbern2717 well, Miami is pretty familiar with dealing with that problem. They couldn’t pass block for 💩 and if they couldn’t run outside and get space to go downhill that way, they were stopped in the backfield almost every time. They made chicken shit into chicken salad as much as they could, but teams with the best defenses, showed that they could expose the line for what it was by playing better shell coverages and clogging up the areas of the field that eliminated the quick passes from 5-15 yards and the line couldn’t hold up long enough to let any longer routes develop. And the inability to just run between the tackles or in the traditional hand off and toss in the backfield style runs plays, left them having to try and scheme check down swing passes to running backs behind the line or quick wr screens as the run game. And that isn’t effective if it’s the only thing you can really do outside of down field passes that you can’t get enough time to do.
TItans fan here. AB wasn't the worst o-lineman on that monstronsity, but he wasn't that good either. He'll probably be fine w/y'alls line, though. Ours was TRASH.
thx for letting us in. i knew he was good but didnt really understand his play style and overall ability to block and defend. i hope ridley does well in TN
The guy is small for a center only 275 pounds. Boy, I wish I could post pics here. Where are your pass-protect videos from this guy? He has and will continue to get pushed around in pass plays. Now we put him next to Eichenberg another OL who can't pass protect... That's trouble for Tua health!
why in the world would you even think for a second Eichenburg would be playing..when he was a millimeter from being cut last year...so no he wont be starting ..and its very possible he wont make team
If Tua could play behind Eichenberg at center last year he can play behind anybody. Liam will probably be improved at guard this year but Tua unloads the ball quick and maybe the improvement in run blocking may be more important.
sort of a meaningless stat by itself.(how long did qb hold ball...etc..so i'll trust our coaches who watch hours of tape...not some fan who looked up stat on pff
Very solid addition, his get off and head placement in the zone scheme is off the charts!
Pause 😂
Less drive-killing penalties and no more high snaps!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hate to break it to you, he had high snaps and penalties in Tennessee
Not as much as Connor Williams 😂

Yea hes durable I'll give him that but his size can be a problem sometimes

SMI with a beautiful breakdown once again, thank you, fellas 😁👍🏼
We appreciate the view and the comment.
Extremely athletic. Wish him constant health. Say what you want but he gets right after people.

How?
Why did Tennessee let him go? Many Tennessee fans were happy he left, why??

News flash, he’s 250 pounds! What happens when he lines up vs someone bigger than him? He folds like a pancake
SECOND MOST SACKS ALLOWED out of all starting NFL CENTERS
PFF rating 2024 ? 71
Connor rating 86
1 sack
Will appreciate a few pass sets sport.
Titans fan here. I answered this in a comment above. I like Aaron Brewer, but the lack of pass set reps in this evaluation…🙄 Did they not watch any?

need Aaron healthy
Dude the play up the middle the center never gets the lb that’s a terrible highlight to show that’s a low light
You overhyped him a little but hope he does well for yall
Glad u all got him. Lol good luck. He is awful
Injured isnt he?
He gave up 12 sacks last year. Stop

He gave up 6 sacks not 12, and 34 pressures. Stop making up numbers.
The ball will probably be gone already, Tua's not Will Levis. Levis has a strong arm but slow release.
