As a 72 year old Texas farmer, I don't speak Japanese. Yet, Miyako is so precious, I never tire of listening to her speak. She's beautiful physically and spiritually, incredibly brilliant in music. Love Bites is my favorite band of all time. I admire and respect all the great Japanese bands, musicians, in all genres of music. Miyako is one of best, ever.
Word out of LB camp is they want a full orchestra to perform with them LIVE, maybe a DiverCity show that can also be streamed and a DVD likely as well. I can't imagine what kind of score Miyako will come up with for that show but I have no doubt it will be EPIC. I can tell you coming from the crazy 60's how refreshing it is for a band to like one another, get along and have no ego wars. Their talent matches Cream (1966-68) but OMG they lack the fighting and ego trauma that Baker and Bruce had every time they were in the same room. I don't speak Japanese either despite being in the J/Metal, J/Rock rabbit holes since the 90's but man I understand great music and world class musicians who are world class people as well. Never thought I would see great musicians again but am I glad I was wrong!!!
dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of months =)
Once again, not really a perfect translation (I tried using UA-cam's autogenerated subtitles in Japanese this time to read what I could as well, but the auto-subtitles generate some weird wordings at times...) anyways.. here's my imperfect kind of overview interpretation... Feel free to correct me on any errors you see and I'll try to edit them in and give credit for the help. I'm not an expert in Japanese by any means and mainly doing this to help Miyako out. ++++++++++++++++++++ "Hello, this is Miyako, today is MYK Studio introduction part 3! (clapping) Today I'll be introducing my grand piano. The Maker of this piano is Yamaha the main maker of pianos in Japan. This is a common Grand Piano (I think she means it's inexpensive or available to regular consumers). This piano is small enough to fit in a regular home. The ones made for concert halls are a little longer. I met this piano in 7th grade, before that I used an upright piano. My dad purchased this for me after I had asked for one and encouraged me to continue playing. Pianos can have various options for keys, the ones for this piano are normally plastic, but I had them changed out for wooden ones since I don't like plastic keys. The price to change them was somewhere around probably around ¥100,000 (around $900 USD)*. When I left my parent's home I took the piano with me, and I still use it until today. *edited to reflect Jun Kondo's correction, thanks Jun! Itsuka, "Who are those children? (talking about the figures on top of the piano)?" Those are Star Wars characters R2-D2 and BB-8. Everyone who knows Star Wars probably already knows about them. The R2-D2 is a toy that can move around by remote control, but the BB-8 is just a plastic model. Itsuka, "I want to hear some music!" E...? You want to hear something... I'm not sure what I should play. Only a little though... (plays a little bit of Chopin's Revolutionary Etude). I continue to practice on this Piano but of course I played a lot of classics on this piano from Beethoven to Chopin. Of course this piano helped me build my foundation as a musician and this was my route to becoming who I am today. Itsuka, "So what about that white piano you played live?" The white piano you saw played live was a Roland Piano that we rented. There are various differences in the layout and construction of pianos. A grand piano hammers directly down on horizontal strings, while an upright piano hammers on veritcal strings so it looks more like stairs. You press a key on the piano, the key triggers and upright hammer that hammers on a vertical string. There is a small amount of delay when playing an upright piano. Itsuka, "How did it feel to finally be playing live again?" It's been almost a year since we performed live. From the beginning there was a lot of emotion and everyone was moved, I felt like crying. Usually I'm someone who feels a lot of tension or nervousness when performing... these performances were a rain of tears. Our vocalist for Lovebites said a lot of hotly powerful and moving things during her MCs that drew out these emotions. I was struggling not to cry the whole time. Itsuka, "You can do your best because there are shows!" Yes, because there were live shows I was highly motivated. Since it had been about a year since we performed live, the feeling of being able to see everyone again and being able to play live. Staying at home kind of made me feel depressed for a while, but I used the time wisely working on things like building this guitar that I introduced in a previous video. While we're still not done with this Corona time and performances have to be done with audiences in seats with masks on without raising a voice (no voice) I'm looking forward to when we're able to perform live with lively cheering audiences again. Itsuka, "During Corona this studio was probably very important to you..." Because I was spending a lot of time at home, and the things in my home were steadily increasing, while working on new songs, I decided that maybe it was time to move to somewhere more comfortable and I was able to make this new studio. Itsuka, "Did anyone else come to play here?" So far Midori has come to visit and play together here. As we are twin leads and we frequently have to harmonize, this is difficult to practice remotely so with Midori able to visit, we were able to practice better. Now I've also had Itsuka visit me as well. :) There are still revisions to be made, but this is how it feels right now. I'll continue to look for more ways to share fun content, but until then see you next time! Bye bye (does the wave with Wampa-kun). "
good work! But one mistake. That piano normally comes with plastic keys, but Miyako doesn't like them.So she paid 100000yen,or about 900USD, which she has been saving up to upgrade them to wooden keys.
The first time I ever saw LBs was that summer sonic thing in 2019, my first thought was that lead guitarist stage left was a living doll. Even then, the Miyako line was long. I am still in it though.
Yep! Another eleven and a half minutes watching Miyako talk, not understanding a word of it and yet being totally captivated! I think I might just have a crush on her! lol
Many of us have crush on Miyako. She's the epitomy of feminine beauty, charm, creativity, talent, one of greatest musicians in world today. At 72, Love Bites has earned my total admiration and respect. 🤠
Wampa. More Wampa. I dig any Miyako gear vids but the YT and Google translate apps arent quite catching exactly what she is telling us. Luckily by now I've learned about 40 Japanese words so I am catching about 60% of what she is saying.
That's beautiful looking piano you got there, Miya 👍👍👍......we know you are a excellent piano player, I hope you can put more piano music into Lovebites songs but don't make us cry though😍🤘 ha..ha..ha....
I hope Miyako does a future video showing all of the gear she uses on stage, and in the studio, I'd be interested to see what pedals she uses, Miho did a video like this with her live gear.
Hey Miyako! I can't understand japanese, but I'm watching it anyway xD. There are some UA-cam channels who translate your videos and let we understand you, I hope you can continue to let them reupload your videos with translation so we can enjoy your content as well. Keep rocking!
Hello Miyako...I don't fully understand Japanese yet but it s a great pleasure for me when you play the Piano and the guitare..and more better;;;the Guitar and after the piano;;;like in Epilogue live Tokyo .....and You are my favorite guitarist in the world;;;not only because you are beautiful ,but You have a special way of playing the guitar...Matané

Twitter
Miyako Lovebites 😍 + piano + guitar + wampa = I love it all😍
Miyako is my favorite Lovebite. Beautiful and amazingly talented. Love watching even i don’t understand a thing. Nice smile.
Not only a super talented guitarist, but an amazing pianist as well!
The first time I ever saw LBs was that summer sonic thing in 2019, my first thought was that lead guitarist stage left was a living doll.
Even then, the Miyako line was long. I am still in it though.
4:03 Miyako whispers "Hazukashii" at the end of the playing piano.
It means "I'm embarrassed." in japanese. She's so shay! :-)
Yeah, but she has nothing to be shy or embarrassed about. The whole world LOVES her. Beautiful princess Miyako.
Yep! Another eleven and a half minutes watching Miyako talk, not understanding a word of it and yet being totally captivated! I think I might just have a crush on her! lol
Same here, I even have that with the weather forecast ladies. 🤣
Me too!!
