I don't like using a 4-inch coil because it leaves you with less of a spider to use cause the 4-inch coil takes up so much of the spiders space.

Yeah the bigger coils don't allow the spider to move as it should. That's pretty much why most use 3 inch... just move xmax capable

I bought some U series V1 18s for 300 each. 5-6 cuft per 18 is typical general cuft per 18.
3 inch coil will have more throw than a 4 inch. 4 inch has less spider. My next sub im gonna buy is gonna be some dreamsicles or maybe some resilient sounds platinum V2. Im running some Fi in one of my vehicles. They slam just like the sundowns.

I had the sundown u series v2 . I liked the HD American bass way better. I've heard the subs your talking about from single sub scrub they seem to be doing good. The enclosure in my opinion is the most important

those subs are beast aint nothing wrong with them i think all motors look smaller on 18s if that motor was on a 12 it would look huge those are some awsome subs and those motors aint small to me you also know about cars your going to have to put strong suspension on the back i ran 3 12s in my 2002 buick lasber and i put these shocks off rock auto they had springs on the shocks i had 8 1/2 cube box 3 300 ounce motors and 3 battery's in the trunk and my car sit higher in back then when it had factory with nothing in the trunk

I'm an 18" guy myself (won't name the brand) and here are the reasons:
1.) 'cause I like 'em
2.) never had 18"s before now
3.) it drops QUAD!
4.) cone area *go look at a chart giving cone area for every size
5.) anyone that says 18"s are slow, sloppy, muddy or whatever, I'll give you a demo and my one 18 will have more punchy attack and decay than whatever you got.

Hey Nolan in my opinion after messing with subwoofers for 20 years anything bigger than a 3-inch coil sounds like shit and it just takes too much power to drive them. And the big coil leaves less of the spider to use.

Yeah , most bassheads run 3 inch coils . It gives the spider more movement over a 4 inch .

Yes, I get what your saying. Which is why I said on a 4 inch coil your just having to apply more power . But on the other side you can run less power and get same affect and more throw because the spider has more area to move because the smaller coil litterally makes the spider larger.

Yeah , I think in the video I made on the infinitys was to replace the hifonics subs of they blow but they won't .. they playing strong on that mtx 4001

@@deasnutz9965 yeah the Infiniti Primus just sounds so much more better then the hifonics the infinity subs double stack motor the bass has much more authority and just sound way better to me I have had both so I'm speaking from that point of view the double stack on the Primus subs arena tiny double stack motor tho one of the smallest dual stack motors I've ever seen before. The price ain't bad for the primus subs either Best buy has them buy one get one free all the time Best buy has about 5 to 10 different subs that they do buy one get one free sales on. You just got to catch him at the right time cuz they don't really advertise the sale and they don't tell you in advance that they're going to be having the buy one get one free sale. Also at Best buy you can find some really killer deals on open box items. For a car audio I got a pioneer 80 PRS 4 50 bucks open box all it came with was the head unit and the wiring harness it has some hairline scratches on the front of the head unit display so nothing a little buffing couldn't remove.

Id run those subs, im not picky on brands i just want bass! I have 2 6.5 ct sound tropos in a big ass ported box on a ct sound at500.1d amp and they slam in my odyssey! Its just enough to hurt my ears and all i wanted was a little more than stock lol id like something that plays lower but im pretty happy with them overall. They play loud down to around 25hz and thats plenty for me really lol.
At the end of the day its your money and u allowed to buy whatever the hell u want! I never understood why people hate on otgers for what they buy or what brand they run, mind your business little feller lol have a good day man!
