Great question. The biggest factor was weight. I usually transport in my truck bed, but I want to be able to car top it on our minivan or sedan. I bring quite a bit of stuff with me as well, so my kayak would be pretty heavy when it's fully rigged. It works great for my needs so far. The 360 drive is amazing. It's definitely a game changer for me.
My first Hobie I purchased was a PA12, last year bought an Outback and never fished again in my PA. So much easier to fish out of and maneuver. My PA was not with 360 and certainly think it's very cool!
@@DLoh2o1 The Outback is a more versatile kayak. It's easier to transport and is faster than the PA. The PA360 is a game changer. The maneuverability is pretty crazy. I'm going to keep one of my Outbacks, so I can use it in places that are harder to access. The Bixpy Jet helps a lot on the PA to get to where I need to go and then I use the 360 drive to fish the area. I hope they can find a way to put the 360 on an Outback and keep the stability.
Gonna get 1 today! Oh wait... $5000 for a kayak? B*tch are you fa real?! Lol Why not get a boat? What am I missing about this kayak what does it cost so much?
Lol! You can get a decent boat for that. The crazy thing is that I also have a boat. What makes it cost more is the 360 drive. If you want a kayak that has crazy maneuverability and is really comfortable, then this is the kayak for you. It does come with a price. The 360 drive is pretty amazing. There really is nothing else like it on the market. If you ever get a chance to demo one, do it. It's not for everyone. I have no regrets.
@@paidslave1217 there will eventually be used ones when the next models. I've seen some good deals on older PAs because of the 360 coming out. The one thing I didn't really considering was being able to transport it on a roof rack. I know it can be done, but it will definitely be a challenge. I use my truck most of the time, but when we use our van on family trips, I would have to car top it. I will likely take my Outback for those trips. It seems like there will never be a perfect kayak for every situation.
@@TomyTekOutdoors in time my friend I will get one. I've seen a video, I think it was the beautiful Nattie up North channel do a demo of how she gets her fishing kayak on top her vehicle by herself. If I remember rite it was a lever and jack system. So jealous of the 360 drive, it would be nice for me to use it fishing here on the space coast of Florida. Indian River lagoon redfish get huge!
It's been great for snakehead fishing and crabbing. The maneuverability has helped me tremendously. I added a motor to the back to get to my location. Then I use the 360 to get around. I fish in thick cover and weeds so a motor would get fouled up in the weeds. It's not for everyone, but I find it perfect for my needs.

@@TomyTekOutdoors it definitely is the last fishing kayak one ever need to buy. Way too rich for me
@@paidslave1217 there will eventually be used ones when the next models.
I've seen a video, I think it was the beautiful Nattie up
North channel do a demo of how she gets her fishing kayak on top her vehicle by herself. If I remember rite it was a lever and jack system. So jealous of the 360 drive, it would be nice for me to use it fishing here on the space coast of Florida. Indian River lagoon redfish get huge!

In my opinion waste of money put the extra thousand dollars towards a Torqeedo
It's been great for snakehead fishing and crabbing. The maneuverability has helped me tremendously. I added a motor to the back to get to my location. Then I use the 360 to get around. I fish in thick cover and weeds so a motor would get fouled up in the weeds. It's not for everyone, but I find it perfect for my needs.
TomyTek Outdoors yeah I didn’t think about that I’ve never fished in the lake or river I fish offshore and occasionally in the Flats I live in Florida so but I could see in tight places where that would help a lot I subscribed you have great content thank you
@@dereksmith7965 it wouldn't make sense to have it if often fish in open water. The 180 drive would work just fine. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate the support. Let me know if there any videos you would like to see. Thanks for watching.
