I Was Given 20 Free Hard Drives... Here's What I Found

In this video, I test out 20 hard drives I got for free! Are they still usable, or are they just e-waste? In this video I pretty much just look at all of them and see which ones work and which ones don't. They way I got them is from a guy I know who takes them out of old computers/laptops. or just finds them in general.

Next time you do that, disconnect your internet before plugging the drives in. There could be live viruses on there for all you know.

Toshiba HDDs are some of the worst drives around. Even if CrystalDisk says it may be good it will fail and when it does it will fail horribly, if any device has them remove them asap. Best I can say they could be used for is a testing drive so if it fails it isn't a big deal and you'll know it will eventually. And yes people do not wipe drives or dispose of them properly, last year I picked up a PC for free from a business they said it was trash. I plugged it in after I got back and it booted into windows with files and certain personal files someone who isn't a medical profession should have. So I proceeded to Boot & Nuke it and install and format the drive multiple times before zeroing.

Yeah I plan to wipe all the drives that are worth saving for something. Its honestly surprising that so many businesses don't wipe all their data off before getting rid of computers and such.
