- Absolutely incredible news today.
Marriage equality was achieved because of the hard work of ordinary Australians over many, many years. This victory is something to be deeply proud of, and inspired by.
Thank you to every organisation, every activist, every politician who worked so hard, and to the LGBTIQ community for leading the fight.
GetUp is proud to have campaigned for marriage equality for over a decade, alongside so many incredible organisations and individuals. The power of this campaign was in our collaboration and our community. Conqueror of all the chippies Well I know how false that is. Netherlands legalised same sex marriage in 2000. Belgium in 2003. Canada in 2005. Spain in 2005. South Africa in 2006. Norway in 2008. Sweden in 2009. I could go on. Would you say they have become 'uninhabitable?' ironically, Sweden is said to be one of the most successful countries in the whole world, along with many others of those countries. The 10 poorest countries in the world do not recognise same sex marriage, and some even criminalise it. 🤷🏻♀️You can't deny facts. Ireland had a double rainbow after legalising same sex marriage. Texas had a flood after banning it. You believe in the word of God? God has spoken.

meanwhile the Mormon Church fought viciously against Marriage equality. It is time for Reform inside the Church Time for Gay and Lesbian Couples to marry inside the Holy Temples. Time For Women to have the Priesthood. The fight continues in Salt Lake City for the sake of thousands of Gay and Lesbian Mormons, for the sake of millions of Gays and Lesbians yet to be born inside the Church. That they may have a future as Latter day Saints.

@@commandersoysauce823 Actually, you're wrong. For chromosomic gender, there are X0 people, XXY people and so on. For anatomy gender, there are people born with ambiguous genitalia. And finally, for identity gender, there is a spectrum.
