Promotion is good in railway till 4600gp(Grp C). After that ; promotion in grp B officer cadre is lyk oasis.. Total officer in railway is abt 1.5%(grp a + grp b)..which is the lowest among all govt dept. Out of which only .5% is for grp B post..So only 1 out 200 gets a grp B gaztd officer promotion. For ACM; Jcct; Scct; commercial inspector; booking clerk; TT; alp; goods guard..all are eligible.Now jst imagine ; under the jurisdiction of one ACM ; how many of the above mentioned employees are posted ??? Expecting an officer rank promotion is lyk once in a blue moon.. Even ldce exam is very irregular ..1-2 vacancies come in one zone; that too not evry yr.. Most of the railway employees get retired at level 7

70-80% সময় ৫ দিন কাজের সুযোগ থাকে। যতদিন gazetted অফিসারের promotion না পাওয়া যাই ততদিন এক অফিসে চাকরি করার সুযোগ থাকে।

সাধারণত non gazetted post এ আর transfer করানো হয়না তবে gazetted officer post এ promoted হলে transfer সাধারণত করা হয়ে থাকে।
