The joke is if this clip were in a movie the person watching this in the movie would more than likely be a connoisseur (idk a fancy word for someone who really likes and understands something to a level the majority of society could give a fuck about) of people who can lift to this level of execution, breaking down every detail of said perfection,.... so perfect in fact 😢 it's brought tears to his eyes... they lay their head atop their desk as they weep at the beauty of it all... or maybe thats the wine talking...

    Look at how well he conserved energy by not throwing the barbell any higher than it needed to be. And instead squatted underneath it. That was smoooooth

    • @hrsmp
      @hrsmp 9 місяців тому +20

      No one is throwing anything, you need to do the opposite in fact, keep the barbell as close to your body as possible during the pull. Second, he could've not pull the barbell any higher, that's the point. Smaller and weaker guys are more flexible and able to get under better. Bigger and stronger guys just pull higher and not care about anything else. Therefore every height, every body type can excell at snatch and clean & jerk, in principle. Unlike say strongman, where if you're short, you won't be able to compete. Or basketball.

    • @hrsmp
      @hrsmp 9 місяців тому +3

      In fact, i would argue that raw strength can be more impressive. Look at Gor Minasian for example, he snatched 217 kg and catch it above parallell. He's so strong, he just doesn't care. That's unprecedented. You know, Lu isn't the only one with near perfect snatch technique. His form isn't even the best in China, let alone other countries. There are many guys who can snatch like that. But there is only one Gor.

    • @theprofessionalsage

Btw just watch on Discovery Channel how Chinese Olympic Team select the next player in the School of kid 5/6 years old and after let's discuss 😉 . I repeat another time , if you can't reach something is only because your body is not made for that , you can be highresistance so sport like Marathon are best suit for your body , you have high force output like me and can start a powerlifting/weightlifting carreer . There are only 3 example but there are many than 20 example , each one for each sport . So don't talk all time about chemical because chemical are not the Sacred Graal

      @@richardpwrlifterOoook ... so you're comparing your self to OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTERS which now are winning gold medals?
      Dude. I train too. But the traininge regime and achievements here which are required to operate on that level are like a completely different world. Universe even. There is no way that people which perform on such a high level are not on steroids and other substances. This is true for almost any other sport as well that operates on such high level. Be it strongmen, body building, anything really.
      And you're completely missing the point here I am afraid.
      What we're talking about here is not just "training". It is a selection process. And a very hard one. They look out for athletes that can not only take the insane amount of stress that comes with the training both in psychological and physiological characteristics they also chose those atheletes that best respond to "chemicals". And if those give them a 5% increase in time, power what ever than that is what they will do, as this little bit might secure the victory.
      No offense man, but you seem very naive if you believe that those atheletes are "natural".

      @@fattyjaybird7505 here you go, compare the differences including another important aspect but not necessarily as critical and that is the non "hook adjustment" of the hands around the bar before the final clean over the head movement.
      Is there any surprise that the rare 3x body weight clean and jerk success also belongs to the successful proper technique?
      If a properly adjusted time limit were imposed on a clean and jerk according to height and a appropriate deduction of points or "weight deduction" for clearing but over the time limit, I bet this would force a better universal technique, better quality competition, ultimately higher lift totals etc etc.
      Notice the spine vertical behind the bar while jerking up and close to the torso in efficiency, which takes a disciplined approach from the beginning of schooling/training...
      Rather than what I call in this original "UA-cam perfect lift" as a "BREAK AWAY FROM ORBIT"... a rogue satellite hook maneuver, followed by a hand adjustment and buzzzzzzz time limit penalty when it comes to Olympic rules, but not as a hindrance, but as a forced adherence ultimately to correct technique or else forget about stepping on any of the 3 medal podiums.
      Hell, a classic Olympic event had to come to a committee vote as it is for 2028 because of supposed corruption/doping or whatever they say, where who knows the real political social reasons being more than likely a business aspect of less tv popularity because there isn't any diversity in terms of region and gender fluidity and therefore Olympic weight lifting is full of doping scandal because it's a elitist sport biased toward the Middle East, Russia, China USA etc major economies rather than:
      "And here now the gender fluid competitor from Cambodia/German Nationalist attempting the snatch of 23 kilos, Mazsupan Holtz.... Clap clap cheers... ITS husband from French Quebec rooting on in the audience here today, isn't this wonderful Neil?"
