I'm uk and haven't seen this. Really enjoyed your reaction and the post. Thank you :)
You're UK? But I'm the UK Lizzy simp!
@@gazb87yorkshiresalt48 I am. Lancashire way. My father's side is actually from grimsby. His side was Smith.
Forgot how excellent this was. Must be 10 years since I saw it but the next episode comes to mind every time I hear the words "Sage and onion".
Sean absolutely dying stitching John up like that over dinner was hilarious
This reminds me of the film City Slickers 😂
I had no idea about this show, fantastic, loved it. Thanks man.👍😂
Thanks King for introducing us to our very own programme most of us never knew existed 😆
Edit: watch Off the Hook - world's deepest air b&b
I did
I saw this when it originally went out and it was good to see it again from your perspective, it made it even more interesting. It's sort of sad seeing Sean knowing he's not with us anymore, R.I.P. geezer
I think the traditions of the American West cowboys originated in Spain, with the vaqueros.
Spain via Mexico I believe.
John does this accent all the time on CDC. I never realised he actually met the guy. Seems a lovely fella..
24:05 Against all odds, I recognise that music. Hands down my favourite piece on the cajun accordion.
Can't hear the cowboys' accent without hearing Will Ferrell's "I feel it down in muh plums"
😂
Let the boy watch 😂
Fantastic!! This brings me back. I've wanted to re-watch this special for years but it was never on and now I can. 😌 Thanks KB ❤️
Russian video sites nearly always have films and shows which aren't available elsewhere.
really enjoyed this didnt realise this programme was a thing till now
Great to see videos on Sean lock.
I’ve learned so much from my fave civil war general on people I’ve never heard of like this dude.
Sean the funniest British guy I’ve seen.
And yeppers we have our kinda culture down here an we’re glad to show y’all some of it, but ya can’t steal it but we will let ya take some of it back home to show ya friends.
I grew up on a beef farm in Australia. As far as I know there was more than one way to castrate animals without breaking the skin or any bleeding. It seems unneccessary to be chopping things off and exposing the animals to the risk of infection. Was it because they were keeping them for eating?
Wow never knew this existed. Thanks King Boomer 😊 best regards from Australia
In England you just need one man and his dog to heard cows. They use a whistle language. Mostly though the cows know the drill and go where needed on their own when you call to them.
This is a show that ive only seen bits and pieces of. You cant find it anywhere, Ive tried for close to 10 years...
Hey,
Have you guys thought of reacting to “Green Wing”. As you love Father Ted and The IT Crowd, I think you’d definitely love it!
I enjoyed this when I watched it the first time.
Would love to see more reactions for Jon Richardson! I’ve seen him live three times now and he’s my all time favourite:)
Wow. So have you met other people?
I missed this on the telly, so thanks for sharing it KB!
32:45 - Sean was just so chilled, and used to try to get stuck in with stuff.
Sad to know he's gone now. He was always one of the funniest on Cats Does Countdown.
I bet it was harder for Jon when hearing about Sean's passing, having experienced this road trip together.
I do recall watching this at the time, and squirming at the "balls" part. lol
I definitely remember Sean laughing at Jon, when they were buying cowboy boots. lol
This is the sort of show Channel 4 are (or were) pretty good at.
They would often show things that the BBC usually wouldn't dare to (like the balls thing), unless it was on a nature program.
Channel 4 was always a bit more edgy, and they started showing more alternative comedy in the 80s before other channels did.
(nowadays, it's not really "alternative" any more, it's just the more risqué comedians like Jimmy Carr and Frankie.)
btw, for a very long time, the main (and pretty much only) channels on UK terrestrial TV were BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, and Channel 4.
(although some people had cable TV from as early as about 1982, I don't think there were many channels on that for a long time.)
The BBC had (and still have) the "licence" fee for many decades, but it means they don't show adverts for products, only for their own programs.
ITV and Channel 4 are of course still around, and used to be funded mainly by adverts/commercials.
We used to be able to receive some of the regional ITV channels like Anglian, which was often tuned to "channel 5" on the TV.
But the actual broadcast station "Channel 5" didn't launch until 1997.
Channel 5 was never very good, tbh, it was often a running-joke. lol
Channel 5 tended to do those terrible documentaries, looking at overweight or disfigured people, and pretended it was more "caring" than it really was.
Satellite (analog) TV in the UK didn't really start becoming widespread until the late 80s.
Starting with companies like BskyB (British Sky Broadcasting).
Which originally had these weird small square dishes, known as the "Squarial". lol
Then they merged with Sky (Rupert Murdoch / Fox) around 1990, and the rest is history.
We didn't get digital (MPEG-2) TV via satellite until about 1998.
The last Sky analog channels closed down around 2001, which is about the time I bought my first Sky Digital box and subscription.
I don't even watch terrestrial nor satellite TV any more. I watch 90% UA-cam, and other streaming services like Nutflicks.
Anyway, that was my TED Talk.
Yeh I'm with you @12.40😱😖I'm sat here with my legs crossed and we've not even got to it🤦♂️😂I had 3 operations down there by the time I was 10,so I think I've got fair cause to be particularly squeamish whenever that area's brought up....👀🤔😖🤷♂️😂💜
This is at least 10 years old i think. Jon is married now. They even have a show together. The Wilkinsons or something.
Such an interesting part of the country.
So glad someone's paying attention to this feature. Both episodes were great!
I first learned about Haiti and the rebellion, after hearing Santana's 'Toussaint Louverture'
Great video and reaction Mr Boomer, thanks for this, never seen it before.
Please react to ’15 stories high’. Sean Lock & Benedict Wong. Genius, Weird & Funny.
I love the fact John ends up using the onion joke in one of his stand-up routines :)
Try Richard Ayoade Travel Man Full Episodes , not a comedy show as such but quite funny
How good to see 👀 something from across the pond. Thanks for the reaction ❤
Wow, must've totally missed this show when it first came out. I'd be interested to see more episodes.
33:34 LOL
Yeah, that's Jon.
Bearing in mind, he has quite serious OCD, so isn't a fan of getting his hands dirty (literally), or having close-contact with strangers. lol
In the programme they made reference to Jon being single. He must have been lucky to end up with Lucy Beaumont, they must have a great relationship if they have been happy to present television shows together, perhaps like Chris and Rosie Ramsey.
I’ve never seen this!
Never seen this before. Miss sean, still gutted he's gone. 😢
If you can, You should try a programme called Meet the Richardson's, Its a parody of Jon's life with his wife Lucy Beaumont, Who is also a comedian, That has some real funny parts in it.
After they decided to swing the doors open in their cowboy gear, first thought was "WTF SEND OUR QUEERS BACK"
I think Sean was laughing because he knew Johns joke about onions wouldn't work.
Find the clip of Bill Connolly , The dwarf on the bus, you will love it
That was fun, hope we can see more of it and you can react to…
John is no longer single. He is married to the very funny Lucy Beaumont.
...who wrote a sitcom called Hullraisers with a woman who grew up somewhere within a mile South of me in Bradford.
They just cut the balls of without any anaesthetic. Crikey 😮😮. Miss you Sean ❤
It's about $800 return from London to Lafayette at the moment.
As an American, when I first saw this, I daydreamed about how cool it would be if they did a second series and somehow ended up in my area. Sadly that will never happen now, and my delusions of becoming best friends with them will remain unrealized.
Please do the second part it’s worth it
When does the 2nd part come out?
Oh if the Haitian revolution interests you should Definitely watch the great Akala's address at the Oxford union!he speaks a fair bit about it(over an hour long so definitely not a reaction 😂but 100% worth looking at in your own time 🤷♂️👌🏼)and comes with a Lot that we're never taught!👌🏼👏🔥💜
I loved Louisiana
The film ''Southern Comfort.' Bit offensive to Cajuns - but good film. Also [ on the slavery front ] the 3 pt video ''Mark Steel - Vive La Revolution,' by PHubb. Filmed in front of an American audience on his [ a UK comedian ] book tour. Funny & VERY informative ! [ sound at beginning of 1st part is a bit low - just for first 30 secs - stick with it. It's ONLY 53 mins in total / ally worth it ! ]
John Richardson is married to a woman called Lucy Beaumont and they have one kid.
frog probabley thought it were a water slide when flushed away
Next one please
My Partner has been vegetarian for decades. Her reasoning is similar to Sean's. If she's not prepared to kill an animal, she believes she has no right to eat it. I am not veggie myself and I argue division of labor. In other words, I say that I leave the killing of animals to those that know how to do it properly, as I would likely cause unnecessary harm to the animal. But I do appropriate her reasoning, which I notice others using as a justification too.
I think you need to watch RED DWARF as a new/old comedy show
Hey King Boomer and Queen Boomer. I would say that if you love Mr Bean programmes. Try and have a look at Johnny English strikes again and Johnny English re-born. They have the actor who plays Mr Bean is the same actor in the two films I have told you to look at. At this moment in time I am watching Johnny English Strikes again 😂😂😂😂 he makes me laugh my head off!! Can't remember what his first Johnny English's first film is called . I am BIG FAN OF YOUR TWOS reactions to different thing's over here in UK. Some times Derby County football team is called Sheep shags as our mascot is an Ram!! They are called some times up the Rams 🐏 love you two lots and so happy that you two are first time parents with so beautiful daughter 💕 💖 ❤️ xxx
I never seen it also ✌️
You should react to Stephen Fry in America.
I'd rather get kicked by a spider than a horse.
I’ve never seen a black cowboy before
Yes the bit Peaches talks about the perception of cowboys being all white people due to all the westerns was spot on, I definitely had that perception.
@@Billyzgstar Just like how everyone thinks Bradford is mainly Asian, because that's what documentaries and reality shows mainly focus on whenever they're here...
...Apart from when they're talking about things like architecture, antiques, railways, literature, art, travel, and property etc, where they don't get to choose who to speak to, and are mainly on TV during the day.
All Hail The King, Baby!
Its easy to spot an Englishman in a kilt, for some reason. The same seems to be true of an Englishman in cowboy attire. 😂
I refuse to believe that castrating those calves doesn’t hurt. That is barbaric and horrifying.
Just an excuse not to use an anaesthetic!
Johns married with a kid 😂😂
Brilliant series ive seen it before but great reaction, any chance of less adverts in the next please, the amount of times i had to skip was ridiculous
dunno how old this is but Jon has been married for a few years now and has 2 kids... at least one anyway.
I'm like you, eat what you want I don't care. As long as you aren't telling me your decision somehow makes you morally superior and better than me we're fine
Richard went home and married his sister so there was some influence
When’s it due?
I thought 'cowboys' pretty much started in Mexico? And it was culturally retained from the take over of the old Mexican land in what is the Southern US today?
Like a lot of comments...never knew this existed
Do they throw away the bull's nuts or cook them up? I wouldn't want to try those meatballs
As someone who has been bitten by both a horse and a tarantula. I choose the tarantula. Horse bites hurt so much worse.
Wow you need an animal bite bingo card 😂
Coyote Peterson's secret UA-cam account?
If you ever get a chance, Sean Lock's Countdown Casserole is a must see! One of his crazy mascots, but absolutely hilarious!
Hey, King Boomer : remember that 50% of what British people say is a joke. I've watched a lot of your reaction videos and I think sometimes you miss that.
guess we give up asking for plebs
They were blocked
It’s rubbish anyway
What a lovely testament to the melting pot of the US.
The animal abuse in this is heartbreaking and sickening. The claim the guy makes that its not stressful to the poor animal is psychopathic.
poor john he has OCD and is a massive germophobe this show must be like going to hell for him
Texans are weird.
I'm sorry but there not tough guys they'd last about 5 minutes around me and my crew..Sean and Jon aren't a true representation of real British men. Nice guys though and I think those Creole people are awesome.
Oooo you’re hard
Imagine coming onto UA-cam and actually typing this lmao
@@1Pandemoonium Are you trying to make some kind of point..is there something you want.
@@stoneoutdooradventures2286 No I think he just didn't understand that what you meant was that in an exam on the basic English language Sean and Jon would take about 5 minutes to complete it while you and "your crew" would be there all day and still fail the exam. At least I think that is what you said THERE, with such comments THEY'RE sometimes difficult to understand when people type them with THEIR incompetent knuckle dragging little brains.

@@FikuKromoUzuFajrovulpon OHh, YUR BERAVE,,KEEEEEBORD WORRIER...I meant that last word . Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Even with an I. Q. of 165 sometimes I really can't be bothered to check my spelling afterall who determines what's spelt properly because education is designed for control and brainwashing but I can see your top of the class in that regard... Good luck when the SHTF you'll be the first to get picked off.
