- Join me as I fly on Hawaiian Airlines as they celebrate their inaugural flight with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner! As soon as it was announced, I knew I had to fly onboard, and also decided to fly in their brand new First Class cabin, the Leihoku Suite! Come along for the experience!

Awesome video Nick, the editing was award worthy, glad I didn't have to edit this one. The Hawai'ian music and Christening before leaving PHNL was a very nice touch. Departure and interior vids top notch and the interior tour cockpit and seating was well done and covered most of the aircraft. The night approach into SFO was very nice and the San Mateo and Bay Bridge view with the lights in the background classic SFO arrival views. Cruise turbulence did not look fun and glad they were able to climb up to try and smooth the air out. Very cool Sal from Cali Planes was at SFO and "Patrick" on the departure video from PHNL rotating out on the split screen something I never would have thought of back in the Analog days of Airline filming.......over all A+ great video. Alien.

Aloha Nick! Great doccuvid of your once in A lifetime experience..nice catch on the ANA Honu. I noticed seemed to be more pax in 1st and bus. class, Was nice of Patrick and Sal to let you incorporate some footage.

Congrats on your 1st inaugural Hawaiian airlines, Boeing 787-9 flight to San Francisco in 2024, hope your 1st inaugural Hawaiian airlines, Boeing 787-9 flight to San Francisco went well. I wish Hawaiian airlines newest, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner have free wifi, external camera, air vent and lavatory inside the plane on, but it was disappointed that they don't install it. If Hawaiian airlines install air vent, external camera and window inside the lavatory on the Boeing 787-9, that will be nice. Wow, business class is fully book.
The wifi will come soon! It would have been fun to see Boeing add cameras to the outside yes!

Do you think they’re gonna fly this internationally? I still don’t get why they’re doing it to the mainland and not international. This does make more sense to fly internationally.
I would be surprised if they don't either. It's often that when an airline gets a new type, it's sent on domestic routes first to get more familiarization with the type before sending in internationally.
3/3/3 seats are gonna suck for couples, the old 2/4/2 on the airbus was way better.
Are the drinks unlimited on this flight in first class? Or is everyone allowed 1 drink and water for remainder of flight?
Aside from the beverage service with the meal, I’m pretty sure you could ask for something to drink whenever. I’ve done it a few times and my request was fulfilled without hesitation
You can walk to the galley and ask for extra snacks and drinks
It wouldnt surprise me if there wasnt a limit, the crew was great and offered a drink to us many times!
Internet on board is SpaceX Starlink 😍
Sadly no, they didn't outfit the 787 with their Starlink Free Wi-Fi. I hope they do soon!

The Starlink WiFi will come to the 787 after the A330
You do a good job but you concentrate on minor things like storage and other items that we know all about. Also, while we enjoy seeing the food that is served, it’s not necessary to film yourself eating.
