This is what I called a detail tutorial, from beginning to end was sooo clear (voice and video). No back ground music etc absolutely wonderful. I just did my draft and will be cutting. Keep up the wonderful work. Be blessed
The bodice that was created is gorgeous, thank you so much for the video! the instructions were very easy to understand and I really appreciated your explanations.
You have explained this so well...I've saved your video and will no doubt have to use the pause button but I know I will be able to create my own bodice...I've had two attempts with patterns...but because I'm not universal with my measurements...who is? This is exactly what I need...thank you so much...from the bottom of my heart..your knowledge and especially your patience at teaching is amazing.
Thank you so much for the detail explanation, esply for the back portion too. Many videos does not emphasise on the back part. You have cleared my doubts.
Donlarrie you are excellent! I love all your tutorials dear. The person shooting the video is also very smart and professional. We don't waste too much data watching your videos.
Subcribed!! This is really the best video! From drafting to sewing and seeing the final product come together. You have encouraged me to try this thank you so much!!
hi, im just started sewing and im very thankful to your tutorials because they are mostly what i used when I sew my dresses.. this time I am planning to sew a dress with a nursing access using a magic zipper. do you think is it okay to put the magic zipper along these darts in the front bodice around bust area?
Great tutorial. Thanks. One question. If my back half length is 1.5 shorter than the front half length and.am making a top or dress with half cut, do i still need to add the 1.5 i use for the bust dart to the length
Thank you for sharing this video. Do you have a video on the other princess dart? The one you'll use pad for? It gives a lot of problem to make. Thank you.
OMG! this is great.I love Ur tutorials.Pls do you add extra fabric to the front panel aside the "1.5'' inch bcos the fabric is longer than the pattern? Treat ASAP pls cos I can't wait to cut it now .
Thank you for the video….how many inches did u add to the shoulder slash while cutting on the fabric Also I would be glad if u make a video on how to draft a princess dart ( the one that starts from the armhole) Thank u again @donlarrie couture
Love, love, love all of your videos. I'm still learning and I'm wondering when you say add 3 inches or 2 inches seam allowance, is that ease allowance? I've always thought seam allowance was the actual .5 inch around that is sewn.
Thanks for watching 😍. As regards the seam allowance, yes 0.5inch round is the standard but I always recommend adding more seam allowance and later trim it off after sewing as sometimes people take inaccurate body measurements.
@@lindalichty7959 for ease i add between 0.25 to 0.5" depending on what am making and for the seam allowance I always add at least 1inch and keep it incase I added more weight and need to loose tge garment to fit 😁
Thanks very much, Donlarrie. It is a super tutorial. I always watch out for your video. But I need to know why we have different seam allowance on the bust line and on the waistline. Can' t I have the same on both lines? if am sewing do I take in 2'' on the bust and 1.5" on the waist?. will be glad to hear from you
Thanks for watching 😘. There is no rule to the amount of seam allowance you add to a garment, sure you can have the same for both. The reason why I usually add more to my bust line is because my bust measurement changes all the time, as to my waist, it's usually the same measurement. So with additional allowance on the bust line, I can always loose it out. Hope you understand me?
You have really done great, nice video quality with a detailed explanation. Please can you do a video on corset cutting,it's trending so well now, will really appreciate . Thanks
