His coming gives me great comfort and joy!! I too have felt fear. But not for myself. For my beloved family and friends who don't believe in Christ Jesus.
I'm far more afraid of another decade of gender insanity, the slow destruction of my country and the loss of all the freedoms won by my countrymen...come Lord Jesus, Come!!!
The second coming brings me such comfort. We're already living through the terror of the last days; I want out and I know His return will bring peace. So much to look forward to!

There an intense effort to teach of his coming in the sacrament meetings and Priesthood and Relief Society meetings. I have been Emphasizing in my ministring the importance of attending church meetings, not to take it lightly by missing. What's wrong with your life that you can't give two hours per week to Jesus Christ; when he gave everything, even his life for you. You cannot repent after death.
Jesus will not be returning. We’ve destroyed God’s planet. Human life will end within 100 years due to climate change. And if he did return he’s a Jewish socialist, the most vilified of politics especially by “Christians.” So the same thing would be done to him again. Isn’t going to happen.
Don't think we are just preparing for the Savior, but we are calling for Jesus Christ to come. WE will still suffer much and accomplish much to be His people and be One. We must eject from our eyes what we love now in our society that seems so glorious. We must call Him to the Earth, build his cities and meet with the ancient Saints. WE must prepare to be RESURRECTED and to meet the Lord in the clouds.
I am going to the temple today and I am ready, i want to hear and feel his presence today. And I can't wait for the day he cometh to resurrect all. I am so excited.
Love the temple. It truly is a spiritual place. I'm glad I have a place to step back away from this world and all the clamour, and ponder my life and things from an eternal perspective to think about things the way the savior sees them. Pondering on the temple have been among my most sacred experiences.

These alarms advising of impending doom have been around since the beginning of time. And as far as "the Church" is concerned, they were looking for the second coming starting in about 1830. Don't hold your breath.

Each person is on their own Journey, but the thing you can do is stay true to your own Temple covenants. If you have a solid foundation for your own life your family will see it and it's their choice whether or not to fall back on to it and use it or to choose otherwise. The only issue I’ve seen first hand is people I know personally who believe the 2nd coming is in the near future, are giving up on the here and now. Giving up on the climate, economy, their country etc. they are not worried about the present.

People, read your Bible! He did return in 70 AD and took His Bride. We as Believers are the children of that marriage. I have a question that has troubled me for some time. How can I whi is so unworthy hope to see the Savior when he comes? I have so little to offer him. And when there are throngs of people more worthy than I pressing forward just to touch him what hope do I have to be able to be in his holy presence? When he comes there will be hundreds of millions waiting to meet him. How can one so unimportant as I have that hope?

Actually our inspired leaders teach us to be a very service-oriented people in other words to take action and help those in the community and around the world. I and those around me at church are constantly involved in efforts to do those things. We help refugees We Gather food we make hygiene kits we make blankets we help soldiers, and more. When our leaders talk about the second coming it's to help us remember that the cares of this world aren't going to last forever so we have something neat to look forward to. @@Terminatorguy34definitely not. The tribulation period is 7 years. 20 years is believable. The Lord will have his temples built up first. So after this period of being endowed through temple work then the tribulation comes.
Im Newer to the Church, and obviously we dont Worship the Statue our new Logo is based on, but it is one of those Creepy Pasta Moments where it sort of appears as a Graven Image by definition, but in the tradition I grew up in they taught that Jesus is his Father so what do I know...What I do know is I received a witness from The Holy Ghost, and patriarchal blessings are real.
It represents Christ, who is the head of His church. Like you said, we don't worship the statue. A graven image can be anything. A car, a cell phone, a house, our body...etc. those are all false gods and idols. Having a picture of Christ is not a graven image.

I am faithful, but not enough…..I am not sure where I stand. I have needed more strength, but I often get neglected by those who should love and watch out for me. I am hoping that I will be ready. I have habits to renew, I have not done as well because of choices of others that have burdened me, or caused me to make poorer choices. I have been affected by wrongs and indifference, and neglect, and I am not as good as I could be. I am so sorry that my first choices got blocked too much, but God and Jesus know that, so I hope they will be merciful.

Christ foretold the coming of another counselor , the Holy Spirit or the spirit of truth...and when he comes , he will oppose the world and speak against them...this world will oppose him and speak against him for they sees him not and knew him not...that is the sign how the other counselor shall be manifested to the world-the world will fight against him and only a handful shall recognize him...
If you're struggling to read your scriptures I invite you to pray and ask for help from Heavenly Father to have the desire to read his word. Watch a movie about the savior. Listen to hymes. Spend your time looking to help other and applying his word.
Interesting thought. We know the heavens will be opened like a scroll. We know there is a veil over the earth. My 9 year old daughter once remarked in the car "I know what it will be like when Jesus comes. The sky will go away, then Jesus will come, then the sky will go back." Personally, don't think he'll be coming through "space" in the way that we think of or know of it.

There are several artists who in fact HAVE a strong feeling what Jesus looked like in mortality. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and the Resurrected Jesus Christ. Years later, Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdrey saw Jesus Christ, and a few moments Moses, Elias, and Elijah in the Kirtland Temple. Believe me, THEY KNOW! But what this scripture refers to is WORSHIPPING those graven images and paintings, as the Children of Israel did by forcing Aaron to make for them a golden Calf so that they could worship it.

Sometimes it's easy to think that way, but I try to see the good. There are still so many good people and so many good things. It does get harder to notice that sometimes though.
When I feel that way, I listen to or watch a video of the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. That always lifts my spirits, and I then think, "The Lord is STILL in control."
Just a thought... It is said that we will be raised up in the early morning of the 3rd day...Jesus died around 33 AD right? 1 day in heaven = 1000 years on earth. 2000 +33 =2033. In 2033 it will be the beggining of the 3rd day.

It's not true that "nobody knows when he will come". Everybody know he will come "in the near future"! He's been due "in the near future" for over 2000 yrs" and in another 2000 yrs, He will still be coming "in the near future"!!
You are wrong. They have not said the second coming was soon. Peter said Christ would return during the restitution of all things. Paul said there would be a falling away. Joseph smith said he didn't know when. This generation of apostles has said this is the generation.

Greetings, although the men on this video probably have good intentions, their gospel message is false. Jesus Christ told everyone when he was coming back, read Matthew 16:27-28 or 24:34. Paul continually told everyone to get ready, Christ was coming, in their lifetime. Peter taught the same thing. James taught the same thing. The apostles asked him, what will be the sign of your coming? His reply, not one stone will be left upon another. When is the last trumpet? you can find that in the Revelation of John. It makes no sense for Jesus to take away ALL the saints and believers before the final battle between good and evil. There is a belief that those left behind will have "finally gotten it," but they by NO means will be prepared to fight the final battles. It would be like the Secretary of War removing ALL his generals and leaders from the war, and leaving behind the foot soldiers to "fend for themselves" to fight the final battles.

Christ tells Joseph Smith, that immediately after the 1/2 hour of silence, his face shall be unveiled (Adam Ondi Ahman) and the saints shall be quickened and caught up to meet him in the air, Christ calls these saints his First Fruits, and says that they will descend with him when the 5th angel (who is Moroni…this is what he is doing on the top of our temples, he is the 5th angel sounding the return of Christ, and his First Fruit angels with him) sounds his trumpet, these are the things of the 1st trumpet… The entire chapter of D&C 88 is amazing, and is one of my favorites, I hope you find it to be as amazing, and as eye opening, and as comforting as I do, after you have taken some time to study it. @@trishachristensen2238 I don't have a crystal ball. I just feel like it's not going to happen for a long time. I'd be surprised if anyone alive today will see it happen. Joseph Smith was saying it was right around the corner when he was alive. And a lot of people thought it was imminent. It obviously didn't happen. Regarding my statement about it being "very different than what people are imagining," I don't think it's going to be an earth-shattering event. I think it will be a subtle transition and most people won't even know it's happening. If you look at how God has operated in the past, it's very rare for him to make drastic, immediate changes. He takes his time. Change is slow and methodical. He lets us make mistakes and learn. Again, I don't have a crystal ball and ultimately, I don't have a clue when or how anything will happen. Those are just my personal beliefs.
Our time on Earth was scheduled to end by Spring 2022 at the latest. We are currently in overtime. We will still be here until the Autumn. However, it is still very possible for our time here to end within the next year. In 2019, God told me that we were about to fly away. I have been Emphasizing in my ministring the importance of attending church meetings, not to take it lightly by missing. What's wrong with your life that you can't give two hours per week to Jesus Christ; when he gave everything, even his life for you. You cannot repent after death.

Love the temple. It truly is a spiritual place. I’m far from perfect and work on my soul daily. Some days for good and others day not so good. But I can honestly say I’m trying. Listening to this stirred my soul and brought peace to me. Each person is on their own Journey, but the thing you can do is stay true to your own Temple covenants. If you have a solid foundation for your own life your family will see it and it's their choice whether or not to fall back on to it and use it or to choose otherwise. God has given each of us that choice. But at least if you do your part then you will be blameless.

I am faithful, but not enough…..I am not sure where I stand. I have needed more strength, but I often get neglected by those who should love and watch out for me. I am hoping that I will be ready. I have habits to renew, I have not done as well because of choices of others that have burdened me, or caused me to make poorer choices. I have been affected by wrongs and indifference, and neglect, and I am not as good as I could be. I am so sorry that my first choices got blocked too much, but God and Jesus know that, so I hope they will be merciful.

Regardless of what everybody else failed in your life you have power and the strength to take care of your own testimony because you believe in Jesus Christ and heavenly father loves you. If you ask they will help you and you don't need the dysfunctional people in your life to make you whole because God will do that himself. None of us are perfect or we wouldn't be here. When I feel that way, I listen to or watch a video of the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. That always lifts my spirits, and I then think, "The Lord is STILL in control."
Just a thought... It is said that we will be raised up in the early morning of the 3rd day...Jesus died around 33 AD right? 1 day in heaven = 1000 years on earth. 2000 +33 =2033. In 2033 it will be the beggining of the 3rd day.

It's not true that "nobody knows when he will come". Everybody know he will come "in the near future"! He's been due "in the near future" for over 2000 yrs" and in another 2000 yrs, He will still be coming "in the near future"!!

You are wrong. They have not said the second coming was soon. Peter said Christ would return during the restitution of all things. Paul said there would be a falling away. Joseph smith said he didn't know when. This generation of apostles has said this is the generation.
You have well over a hundred years before Christ's Return. I think it's your personal second coming you should be more concerned with now.

although the men on this video probably have good intentions, their gospel message is false. Jesus Christ told everyone when he was coming back, read Matthew 16:27-28 or 24:34. Paul continually told everyone to get ready, Christ was coming, in their lifetime. Peter taught the same thing. James taught the same thing. The apostles asked him, what will be the sign of your coming? His reply, not one stone will be left upon another. He destroyed the temple, ended the old Mosaic covenant, in judgment, brought in the new covenant prophesied by Jeremiah 31. Remember, when you read the scriptures, these letters were not written to you. Read 1st Thessalonians, in every chapter the members of this Church are told by Paul that Jesus Christ was coming, and he did. Jesus Christ does not lie. This comment is made in love, your friend
Additional scripture from the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants makes it very clear that there will be a second coming of Christ as He initiates His millennium reign for 1,000 years.

Many years ago I taught that the Church would be raptured, before a future tribulation. My error was that I did not read the scriptures, my eschatology was wrong, and thus I lied to people. After reading all the scriptures over and over, some fasting for clarity, my error was corrected by Daniel 9:24-27. The prophets talked about the last days, especially Isaiah & Daniel; Malachi tells us Elijah will come before the great and dreadful day of the lord. Jesus Christ tells us that John the Baptist was the Elijah to come, thus fulfilling that prophecy. Our Messiah has come, sits on a throne and rules today, forever. Otherwise, you are still under the Mosaic Covenant / Law and not Faith. This message is written in Love and hope it adds to your studies, your friend

What you folks call the "Rapture" will happen when the last trumpet shall sound "1 Corinthians 15:52, NASB: in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." When is the last trumpet? you can find that in the Revelation of John.
It makes no sense for Jesus to take away ALL the saints and believers before the final battle between good and evil. There is a belief that those left behind will have "finally gotten it," but they by NO means will be prepared to fight the final battles. It would be like the Secretary of War removing ALL his generals and leaders from the war, and leaving behind the foot soldiers to "fend for themselves" to fight the final battles.

Actually, D&C 88:92-110 confirms what she says as truth, this section goes angel by angel laying out exactly what takes place as each Angel sounds their trumpet, we even are told the names of the 5th and 7th Angels.
Christ tells Joseph Smith, that immediately after the 1/2 hour of silence, his face shall be unveiled (Adam Ondi Ahman) and the saints shall be quickened and caught up to meet him in the air, Christ calls these saints his First Fruits, and says that they will descend with him when the 5th angel (who is Moroni…this is what he is doing on the top of our temples, he is the 5th angel sounding the return of Christ, and his First Fruit angels with him) sounds his trumpet, these are the things of the 1st trumpet…
The entire chapter of D&C 88 is amazing, and is one of my favorites, I hope you find it to be as amazing, and as eye opening, and as comforting as I do, after you have taken some time to study it.
Modern day revelation does so much to clarify and comfort, I am truly grateful we have this gift with us again in our day

@@trishachristensen2238 I don't have a crystal ball. I just feel like it's not going to happen for a long time. I'd be surprised if anyone alive today will see it happen. Joseph Smith was saying it was right around the corner when he was alive. And a lot of people thought it was imminent. It obviously didn't happen. Regarding my statement about it being "very different than what people are imagining," I don't think it's going to be an earth-shattering event. I think it will be a subtle transition and most people won't even know it's happening. If you look at how God has operated in the past, it's very rare for him to make drastic, immediate changes. He takes his time. Change is slow and methodical. He lets us make mistakes and learn. Again, I don't have a crystal ball and ultimately, I don't have a clue when or how anything will happen. Those are just my personal beliefs.
Our time on Earth was scheduled to end by Spring 2022 at the latest. We are currently in overtime. We will still be here until the Autumn. However, it is still very possible for our time here to end within the next year. In 2019, God told me that we were about to fly away. This message was repeated to me in the last few years with increasing frequency.
