Finding a proper alloy wheel for Tata Altroz is a challenging task. As most of the wheels are beyond OEM specs infact all the wheels are having 7J (inch) as minimum. There's a lot of options for 14 inch wheels. You should check that the rim width is near to OEM rims.
My iturbo xz+ has 185/60 section tyre. Earlier it used to come with 195/55 section tyre. Should I consider upgrading to 195/55 or 195/60 section tyre?
Thanks for your query. 195/55 offers sportier handling and grip than 185/60 tyres. But on the negative side 195/55 gives harsh rides on bad roads and is more prone to cracks and punctures in bad road conditions. On the positive side 185/60 offers better fuel economy and a comfortable ride on bad road conditions.

Thanks for your appreciation. Definitely you can upgrade as it is within the specs. But those points are to be taken into consideration which I mentioned earlier in my reply. My car came with 195/55 section tyres as it is an early 2021 model. 195/55 also adds a bolder look as the tyres are wider. I will definitely meet I am from South Kolkata from Rabindra Sarovar Metro.
Hello sir you seem to know this stuff clearly. Many youngsters are simply upsizing or changing alloys based on looks only. Im having a baleno sigma which is factory fitted with 185 65 15 on steel wheels.These tyres are good for slow traffic but on highways the alnac 4g is not very confidence inspiring. I would like to upsize to alpha variant tyre spec of 195 55 16 bridgestone sturdo but im planning on instaling these same wheel of 6.5j rather than oem 6j solely for improving the cars stance and looks.. My 2 concerns
1) Are these wheels lighter than oem steel wheels or alloys.
2) Will 6.5j wheels with 195 55 16 cause any issues other than mileage drop.
I would actually like to know if these alloys are lighter than steels because the more lighter the better the handling.Also is 6.5j alloys of neo available in 16 inch size??

You may buy alloy lug nuts for looks . But OEM lugnuts are the best so I did not change.

I have kept it as the dealer was giving low value also if I sell the car in future I will switch to steel wheels.
Sir, I also fitted this alloy. Very nice. Can you guide how to register for warranty? Does dealer themself register it? Also I dint do drum paint and also they suggested me to buy special bolts for which allian key will come. And it's difficult to remove without allian keys. Costing 1600Rs for 16 bolts. I dint buy those. Not changed. Also they insisted me to buy special spanner to remove this bolts. Its not possible using normal accessories given along with car.
Thanks for your feedback. The OEM nuts are the best and I have kept the same. Buy a 18 mm socket and a l handle of good co to remove the nuts from alloys when needed. OEM spanners will damage the paint of alloys as they are thick and foul with walls of nut area. I have also purchased this.

Hi, does wheel came out a little after installing this alloy? I also installed it and performance improved. How much tyre pressure you maintain now?
It's a little bit outside the wheel arch . I am maintaining 33-34 psi in city drive and 35 psi on highways fully loaded

I 20 magna comes with 185 / 65 R15 tyres with rim size 15 inch dia and rim width 6J (6 inch) and I20 sportz comes with 195/55 R16 tyres and rim size of 16 inch dia and rim width 6J (6 inch). If you dont want to upgrade your tyre you can fit any 15 inch alloy rims having width of 6-6.5 rim inces for best compaitbility. IF you want to upgrade tyre to 16 inch size of i20 sportz you can choose any alloy rims having 16 inch dia with rim width size of 6-6.5 inches. I am not suggesting any rim brand and design as choices may differ. Here is a alloy choosing guide.

How is the experience so far with neo pulse ? Do the shiny part still shine as the new ones ? I have selected the same 16 inch pulse for my new elevate. The sales guy says it will be either of 7 or 7.5 width. OEM is 7. He says both would fit easily. What difference would it make if i use 7.5 if the OEM is 7 ?
Mine is still going fine no paint peeling issue. Absolutely shiny like new.Go for the 7 inch one as 7.5 will increase your rolling resistance. In my case the OEM was 6.5 so I have maintained the same. In case you go for 7.5 check the width your tyre supports .

Handling has improved . But alloys will not increase your acceleration or pickup. Yes the tyres run cooler braking will improve marginally. Also no rim rusting .

In Bengal humidity is very high so the steel rims tend to rust quickly which results in frequent air loss and you need to top up air pressure more frequently. Also Alloys are wider so I can enjoy the full potential of 195/55 R16 tyres as it's the best fit as these alloys are 6.5 inches wider. In theory there are a lot more advantages in Alloys but they may not be applicable in day to day driving. Also braking has improved as alloys are lighter and road grip will improve. Definitely looks is the point to consider also..
I have altroz base varient wheel size is 4.5jx14. i bought alloy of 5jx14 is it right bro. Tyre size is 165/80 r14
Thanks for your query. 4.5 J is not available in after market alloys. And 4.5x14 5J is within the specs so there will not be any issue.

You can easily upgrade to 195/55 tyres which the Altroz used to get in 2000 and 2021 models. Anything higher will result in higher fuel consumption and rolling resistance and give speedo error.

Thanks for your query. It's a very good comfortable hatchback giving you a feeling of a big car at the cost of a hatchback. On handling and stability front it is the best in class. The only con it may not be as fuel efficient like the lighter cars in this price range. If you are looking for a good package like comfort, safety, stability with decent modern features and good handling Altroz is the right choice.

I am not telling this as an Altroz owner buy it you won't repent. If mileage is the only criteria then don't go for it. You will love once you own it. All my previous five cars were from Maruti Suzuki. in fact my last car before Altroz was Swift .

If it's bumper to bumper traffic it may come down to 11-12 kmpl, but with moderate traffic it's between 15-16 kmpl.

Thanks for your query.The alloys will cost you Rs.28000/- for 4 tyres. Additionally you have to pay for wheel balancing with weight. For all those it will be around 1500-1600. No need to change the tyres.

You first check the Neo wheels website if it is in stock. Then check with Neo dealers in Delhi. If the dealer does not have the stock tell him it's available on the co website. Then make an advance to him after he confirms the availability. This is the way I bought it.

Neo Wheels are very well built as per OEM standard. The wheels have a 2 year warranty. The old wheels I have kept as the shop was offering very less. I have decided to keep it and in case I sell the car I will revert back to steel wheels. Since a lot of cars and Altroz have common wheel size .

OEM is expensive but there's no harm in after market alloys so long they are near to OEM specs. I have made a dedicated video on how to choose correct alloys.

Hi, i have Altrox XE Rythm which has 14 inch steel rim. Can i upgrade to 16 inch tyre and alloy of top end model, Is it correct? Or will there be any ABS or speedo meter tuning issue?
You can safely upgrade to 16 inch Alloys without any impact on ABS and speedo meter reading. Make sure you stick to 6-6.5 inch rim width.

This weight is unsprung weight. If unsprung weight is less for alloy+tyre, then it increases pickup, acceleration and ride quality. The steering should feel light for turning etc.
Alloys are always lighter. I can pick one rim with a single hand easily. Whereas the weight of still rims can be felt when lifting.
