That sounds like a great mix in a jar. My local butcher take bone marrow, roasts it, powders it and puts it on the steak for you as a dry marinade. It is Good!
Happy Birthday Jim!! Gefeliciteerd! Very interesting comparison. - I just bought some "Accent" which is basically MSG - I haven't tried it yet. - Cheers!

What brand is the food dehydrator machine? Or what inexpensive brands do you recommend? Or is worth it to pay a little more to get a better dehydrator?

Worth noting that all monosodium glutamate is monosodium glutamate and whether it is produced by a plant, an animal, a bacteria, or a manufacturing plant in Saskatchewan, are exactly the same molecule. Exactly the same as the Glucose & Fructose in an apple or honey and so on is identical to the Glucose & Fructose in high fructose corn syrup. MSG is MSG and Glucose is Glucose and Fructose is Fructose. Each molecule is chemically and scientifically identical. Neither is more or less “natural” than the other.
Yeah this. Our bodies literally make their own MSG not to mention almost every commercially available MSG for use in food comes from simply fermenting sugar beets or other starchy sugars. There's literally nothing "unnatural" about MSG and its bad name as some sort of dangerous chemical in the US has its roots largely in stupidity sprinkled with a little bit of racism. The doctor who discovered MSG for use in food inadvertently from his wife's cooking is somewhat of a national hero in Japan, and the consider it's discovery on of the nations greatest accomplishments. Still a good video, not trying to get anyone cancelled or start an Internet fight but the history of MSG and food in general is fascinating.
No is not good is from Thailand😊 it can help you by The taste but not good for body sorry common people in Thailand know just have a search you will know it
You forgot to add the inosinate and guanylate to the MSG to multiply the effect 😜 75/25 MSG to nucleotide ratio. You may be able to add it to your other types of foods and amplify their effects to bring them closer to normal MSG level.
The objective of this study was to observe the effects of chronic dosing with monosodium glutamate on albino Wistar rats. Results: 6 male and 6 female rats (age 6 weeks) were bred in a cage, feeding on standard growers’ mash, with monosodium glutamate added (120 mg/kg/day). 12 corresponding breeding rats (on standard feed without MSG) were controls. Chronic dosing with monosodium glutamate in albino Wistar rats (at a dose consistent with the human ADI) led to increased mortality, fertility impairment, and significant changes in major organ function tests and histology. 23 deaths were recorded in the rats fed with MSG additive, while mortality was zero in the control animals. Fertility was lower in rats on MSG (48 births) than in controls (117 births). The weight gain of the MSG rats was higher than in controls. Biochemical parameters and organ histology remained normal in control animals. In MSG-treated rats however, liver/renal function tests, fasting serum cholesterol and triglyceride, serum uric acid showed a significant rise at trimestrial time-points. Histology showed mild portal inflammation in MSG rats, with periglomerular fibrosis and interstitial nephritis in two rats, at 6-12 months.
Animal studies are meaningless. MSG is completely safe and not only does everyone, including you, on the planet consume it multiple times each day since it's literally impossible to avoid it for even a single meal but even if you could somehow avoid it your body would produce it because we definitely need it to survive.
Msg has been on the scene but governments said it was unhealthy and it pretty much disappeared and come to find out it's not unhealthy and it really good I think guga brought it back 😂😂

Do it! Get to the shopper! We’ll be back!
Add anchovies to the mix. You’ll thank me later!

It's basically a hairdryer and a cardboard box. So don't spend too much

Yeah but the delivery vessel of those chemicals does matter as other macros can interact with other taste receptors and alter the experience.
Its hard too beat steak and mushrooms. Just my opinion
You HAVE to try Vegemite for that umami goodness 😋
Certainly an acquired taste! Lol
On steak?
@@InterTay haha nope! Good in marinades and definitely awesome in spag bol etc, but I just meant try Vegemite in general.
Since dealing with M.S.G., should do Pitmaster X / Uncle Roger collaboration! I mean, everybody is doing it, yeah?
Tomato, parmsen chesse and mushrooms whats not to like
Make that a blind taste test, then it will be more valid
MSG? My Houston Nephew is rolling over in his grave and he is not even dead yet!
Best comment 😅😅😂
What I find hilarious, is who knew just seasoning your steaks would make it taste good.closest I've ever come to using msg is in the form of soy sauce
I'd buy that rub by the boxload if you made it!
We will definitely be making it

Bro seriously my neighbors dog died of eating food with too much Ajinomoto it’s not even a joke it will kill your heart
I can't use it. My body is too sensitive to it. It makes me feel like I'm hungover.
You aren't showing a close up of the plastic bag ingredient you are recommending and you aren't clearly clarifying the name of it.

120 mg/kg/day equates to how much raw MSG for an adult human? And is this intake levels realistic in free feeding conditions?
And not to mention - are we rats?
Alright, calm down. Pitmaster ain't telling g ppl to eat straight msg 😕
