Motorbike Nurburgring BTG Fast ride through traffic

  • Just a normal lap at the end of the year, low sun and some fairly heavy traffic made for an interesting ride but unfortunately did not make it a very fast lap. This was filmed using a GoPro 360 camera which gives a cool effect and has good sound quality.
    Have a guess in the comments at how many overtakes there was!

    So impressed, even back at my best / fastest / most confident & able track day junkie ie youthful self, I was never that fast. Even as a quick roader, when you really begin to mix playing with cars and that speed, I was happy not to be the one riding. Watching it though was a different story, with the knowledge of what the combo of man and bike can do and been able to narrate the "Ring" ahead of time, truly made this a pleasure to watch. Hooking the whole series corners that link together before Sabine's exit, in just 1 gear make so much more sense when you have 12,000rpm to play with and traffic to deal with. add 1 subscriber

      Thanks for the cool comment, I really appreciate it. The speed comes only from banging in lap after lap, put me on any other circuit and I am excedingly average! I think other riders don't Come here due to the danger but for me it's alot safer than riding on the streets in England

    I am basically mindblown
    I rode this track the first time when i was 22 on my CB650 (i am from Denmark)
    Since then i have gone back every year during the summer for a few days (so addiciting)
    I dont time my laps (as i am VERY slow / safe) on my gopro i can see that on my GSX-S1000 i got around in a bit over 10 minutes
    Your pace is simply out of this world, kudos mate
    Maybe you'll smoke me at some point when i go there around august this summer. Currently ride a old BMW K-1200R, and i WONT be riding at the pace i rode my GSX-S, MUCH LESS YOURS lol!

      Its far more important to get back to he carpark than to go fast. I have a great respect for people who are able to control themselves enough to not push past their comfort zone and make avoidable mistakes. The main thing is that you enjoy riding!

    I am hoping to do this in 2023. It will be my first time, so I have 5 months or so to learn the track, in particular that sharp left corner where you see so many bikes cut across the grass in another video channel. I will be happy just to ride it at a good speed, but a lot slower than this lol.

    Only been as a spectator, honestly I haven't the balls to do it.
    The thought of at the least not having wheels to get home or worst in an ambulance just didn't over ride the risk.
    After watching UA-cam and the number of accidents and the amount of oil dumped by cars two wheels seem too risky.

      I then moved to Germany to ride this track as much as possible, 3 months in an oil spill took me out at Brunchen. I broke all the ribs on my left side and was airlifted to hospital👌

    • @77_bridge
      @77_bridge  Рік тому +1

      I told a mate he needs to blip the throttle on downshifts and he told me not to bother. I only do it regularly on the fast corners now to keep the bike stable but under hard braking I think it is better without as I can brake harder.

    • @immunity4soul
      @immunity4soul Рік тому +1

      @@77_bridge I can see that. under braking when the bike is upright mostly I guess it doesn't matter as much. • @77_bridge
      @77_bridge  Рік тому

      Compared to a supermoto it will seem like it has a slipper as the engine braking is nowhere near as savage than on a big single cylinder engine. Definitly the most fun type of bike to ride but just not fast enough for the ring unfortunately😔

    Man, it's a true miracle that you didn't tend to loose it a couple of thousand times, what the heck is wrong with your front end??
    You just have set the record of completing a full lap with the worst chatter ever seen. You surely have some big balls but I do recommend you to avoid any further risk of dying instantly at the ring and have a race tuner adjust and prepare your bike in a professional way. Either your front tyre is just finished or outbalanced, or your front suspension is completely off set, or the front rim is damaged but those constant vibrations are really not how it supposed to be.

    • @77_bridge
      @77_bridge  Рік тому +1

      I am unsure exactly what the problem is, the chatter on downshifts is from not having a slipper clutch I think. Possibly the tyre is worn alot at this stage and is probably unbalanced too. The suspension I am confident is good as it was set by Klause Thiele and he knows his shit! 😁
