In some way yes it could be, this is also exactly what I was thinking at first but I noticed that you can be much more precise in this game regarding the micro management of your troopers. Also I think the campaign in No Plan B is much better since you can get equipment (grenades, weapons, or even new troopers) only by completing raids on randomly generated maps and if you play in Ironman mode you wiil need to be very careful and be ready for any encounters
