Dig your videos, around 8 minutes you say you would chop it more but the video needs to be short. Why does it have to be short? Doesn't longer mean more ad revenue for you and deeper understanding of the chop for me? I watch these whenever they come out I say your in the top of list for this genre of tubing thanks I don't mean to be critical in anyway was wondering. I don't know if you stream but maybe that is where I should check out for kinda more in depth wandering to find the beats. thanks again

@@defcreator187 pretty sure you're the one who doesn't know his drums. Marlow has been beat making for decades now and has a good ear. Also you're watching live beatmaking, not a finished 'mixed and mastered' release-ready track. Don't get it twisted, your favourite producers wouldn't sound half as good without their engineers and technicians.

I am a 3D character artist for a video game company, and part of making a character for a game is to texture the 3D model ( give materials to the clothing, ect). I know this seems completely unrelated to sampling but it isn't.... i find similarities between sampling and texturing. I have a collection of fabric textures, and i have to dig through them to find the proper fabric texture ( kinda like digging for that perfect sample). Then i have to add many layers of color variations and mix them together, and it's kinda like mixing music ( gotta get a cohesive , even mix of colors so it reads nicely.) making beats its so similar to texturing 3D art.
Just a thought :) Love the video as always
edit: I listen to your albums while working :), really relaxes me so i can think properly.

Yo Marlow dope vid as usual ! For the first record and dirty cheap records in general I give it a good spraying of windex and firmly wipe with a microfiber towel, then while it’s spinning on the table a few spins with the anti static brush. Not for expensive records but for sample crates it’s great. Cheers mate 🍻

There must be a light chemical cleaner that is good for cleaning up records without ruining them. Something good enough to get in the grooves and remove the dust without decimating the vinyl itself.

Amazing in-depth content, and loads of valuable tips..I am a total noob at this but starting to learn sampling through youtube and your knowledge is amazing. I am almost 50 but it's never too late to get started :D Is it ok for youtube to sample records and perform beats with them as long as you don't release the beats on streaming platforms like spotify, etc? Kind regards :)
