Agreed but every guy has their way to have the best weight/power ratio, Hamish Bond finishes his strokes with his hands far from his upper body and mahe drysdale finishes his stroke with a quite upright upper body position
@@hhollings I mean I could see it if they were a fast jm4- going all out over 250 from a stand still in a tail wind. My Youth 4+ from nats this past year in america that came 2nd would hit a 1:23 off the start, our first 250 avg was like high 1:30s, but a good jm4- going all out it’s doable. Also this video it looks like a race start vs just a 250m
@@VMVarga-yf6eg Maybe on a river with insane current and tailwind. The Dutch quad that won gold in Tokyo and set world’s best time crossed the 250 in about 41 seconds in that race, there is no way that a junior 4- would ever be leading the pack at 250 in the A Final of the QUAD at the Olympics in which the worlds best time was set!
@@hhollings you are comparing a crew doing a flat out 250m versus a crew setting up a gold medal win. I am not saying a Junior 4- would do that sort of time in the context of a race but I have seen junior and u23 coxless fours do those sort of times having a bit of fun. I have personally witnessed Gold medal winning pairs regularly going sub 45 seconds in training for flat out 250m pieces. Saying it is impossible is just not true because it is possible. Even if you have to bring their spans into 83cms and give them 378cm oars it is possible. Certainly not sustainable for 2k but possible for a Junior 4- doing a flat out 250m
I really wish two seat would just move with stern pair…
Good for under 23...for seniors level, final b for sure.
What is the USA top ranked men sweep boat this year?
Beautiful rowing and quite good scenery, where is that at if I may?
Mercer lake
2 and stroke have different styles, 2 could do with hanging a bit more on the catch and engaging the quads, bum shoving a tad.

44 seconds to the 250. That’s a 1:34 split. Not bad boys!
@@christiansndergaard9832 seeing as the world record is a 1:24 split I do not believe your junior 4 went 1:21 split to the 250 from a stand still!
