Not sure if he has a Sanborn sound or other way around. I remember naively asking Michael Franks before a concert if Michael Brecker was joining him that night. He said he wasn't sure if he could afford Mr. Brecker on tour, or something to that effect. -Chris blew everyone away!
Thats not chris's individual sound it's david sanborn's. though i still like it. Its like charlie parker mixed with michael brecker and sanborn. awesome.
Is that a Dukoff mouth piece on his alto. If so that explains the Sanborn vibe. Heck I sound like Dexter Gordon cause thats who i listened too as a youth. Chris played Sanborn awesome. Chris played his own ideas alot so I really enjoyed it.

Alto sax sounds good when blown fully, however it can sound a little like a kazoo when played softly.
