- This is an exercise to learn how to make Kiss Shots.
This is a technique that pool players need to know and use specially for safety shots, break clusters and win the game.
At the end, some tricky shots for challenge and fun.
The equipement I used in this video : Predator Sport Cue, Z2 shaft with Predator Soft Tip.

Thanks for sharing. After practicing a bit, I have a better understanding. I can apply this skill to enhance my safeties.
Yes, you are right. This technique is very useful for safeties.
That's an awesome video! Thanks! I'll definitely try those shots....
That's amazing. Thanks for the demonstration and instruction.
+John Barton Thank you John.
Very nice, I know I can use this in my leagues. Thanks for sharing.
gonna have to remember these shots...nice shootin man
Thank you for the post, great! Without you seeing my shot, is it possible for you to hypothesize how sometimes I make the shot sometimes I get a double kiss (a subtle 'click-click' vs. a single 'click'? I've shot a few hundred and can't figure it out. Thanks, Mark
Mark Schmidt-Fellner Yes the best would be that you make a video and send it to me.
Use Stun Shot and just enough speed to get into the pocket.
If you use follow and too much power the cue ball reaction will be very impredictible. The result depends also on the quality of cushions.
super pro j adopte et je vais vous suivre.merci beaucoup.
Merci ! Bienvenue sur PoolShot UA-cam Channel !
PoolShot.org vraiment bien fait quel démonstration merci encore pour ce beau travail
One of your best instructionals... like the rock muzak
what is the size of the pool table?
You're setting up the same way for a double kiss bank. This shots are cool too
Magical
is the ball on the rail tight? ive been practicing this shot uptown if it ever comes up in a game
ericou812 Yes the Object Ball is tight on the rail. Use Stun Shot and just enough speed to get into the pocket.
If you use follow and too much power the cue ball reaction will be very impredictible. The result depends also on the quality of cushions.
It is a good exercise anyway to know what happens in this situation and you will be able to play very good safeties.
instead of calculating the angle degree, just look for the line from the back of the object ball where it touches the rail to corner pocket, then aim for 1/3 of that angle on the object ball.
+FloridaRaider SOUNDS GOOD TO ME I'LL TRY IT
why is this table so small ???
i see your playing on a smaller table than a nine foot table, how would you adjust these exercises for a nine foot table using the diamond system?
Hi Robert. I checked all these shots on a 9 ft table with exactly the same calculation and formula. You can use this system on any table, size doesn't a matter.
Have fun playing pool !
i dont understand the divide by 3 in the 2nd step? why we divide by 3. please explain more
I cannot explain why 3 is the right number to use in this formula.
It is just a simple formula to calculate where to aim at the object ball.
Of course, you have to know what is a cut angle and how to aim for a precise quantity of ball for any value of cut angle from 0° to 90°.
Did you try it ?
PoolShot.org 3 dots btween ball & pocket
you hit cueball low, high or center
+ericou812 Hit the Cue Ball low and soft to have just enough energy to get final position.
is this for trick shots?
"is this for trick shots?"
If you want.
you aim at cue ball at center?
Yes with a little of draw as shown in the video.
wait so is double kissing the intended ball ok in 9 ball?
Double kissing itself is not a foul in any cue sport. The only times where there would be any contention is when there has been declared a "frozen ball", which would necessitate further striking of a rail by any ball after contact with the object ball OR the pocketing of a ball.
CAN WE DOWNLOAD A DIAGRAM?
You can download Drill pictures at www.poolshot.org
i always do the opposite, i use the taget ball to hit the other in the poket
but if you miss the shot and leave the object ball near the corner you give your opponent an easy chance to pot the 9 ball
foarte usoat
