Great video-- not too fast, not too slow, no giant humans standing around wrecking the atmosphere, and a great layout with terrific scenery & what appears to be tons of operational possibilities! One of the best layout tours I've seen!
That was an awesome ride. I really like the abandoned siding at Monico. It looked realistic. The curved passenger platform and the railfan with the camera at the end of the bridge were pretty neat, too. Great layout!
Wow!!! I loved it even the Oops ( candor is refreshing I usually just cut the bloopers out) but there was only one. Rode the CNW for 20 years to work in Chicago brought back memories.
Realistic layout. Excellent cab ride. Thank you for posting. I have a question. Have you heard of Nate Molldrem's Milwaukee Road layout? It's a wonderful double decker that models the Milwaukee Road right of way from Chicago staging to Seattle. It was featured in the January 1994 issue of Model Railroader and the March 2004 issue of Railmodel Journal. That would be a fantastic layout to do a cab ride clip on. I believe it's located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Keep up the fantastic work with these cab ride clips. You know how to pick and film them. Like.
Thank you! I have heard of Nate, he is in Eau Claire. I have not had the chance to see his layout yet. Back to Don's layout, my article about the layout will be in the October issue of Model Railroader. I will be posting some more cab ride video of another HO scale layout from Huntley, IL. Should be in a couple of weeks!
Marvelous layout. One question though... Why not pull all of the "toy train" like track nales from the middle of the track. Ballesting is wonderful so you really don't need them.
Awesome ride! I model a fictional short transfer railroad. I transfer CN&W with the Soo then they transfer by ferry across Lake Michigan with the C&O line and vice a versa! I lift the ferry up to the 2nd lvl where the C&O is located

WOW1 Great model railroad! Love all the details and the realistic operating speed. Nice job! :)
What a wonderful video! Thank you.
Very Nice. Luv all the trees. Excellent job on the placement.
Finally a cab ride so you can see the layout and scenery, Not an HO scale slot car run!! Fantastic layout!!

Way too cool!!! That is one really really nice layout.....Would LOVE to see this one in person
This was very enjoyable, the layout is put together real nice.
Always love a cab ride
Great looking layout! Excellent scenery and not a "bowl of spaghetti" with the tracks.
Dave, Thanks for posting this! I finally get to see the DSS&A Saxon, WI tower I built for Don on his layout. (3:20)
Hey Don, nice to see you're still at it. Looking great.
Great to see a layout where the only regular, symmetrical parts of the scenery are rails.
Terrific, I only missed backing up into Ironwood and Lake Superior
Very nice.
Nice

Dave Rickaby Looking forward to your MR article and the next cabride clip.

At 19:35, you should have named that Big Silver Pipe, WI. What is that for, anyway?
There appear to be only two kinds of trees in this world.
