Cool stoves..I can't remember if they made a lantern in that style. If you have a Ollie's store nearby they carry the mantle for the north star..cheap. and don't look directly at that lantern..she's blinding 😊
It’s a shame the apex was missing the debris plug from the stove socket. I did notice rather quickly the pump has a very different feel to the pump with it running in a plastic housing. The way the pump over pressures and releases the relief valve feels different from a stand alone stove or lantern.
I purchased a second stove set with a smaller fuel tank and the apex 1 stove but it does not have the feet kit or the fuel plug for the stove. I also ordered a stand alone stove in well used condition I may try and adapt a whisperlite hose onto to use with an MSR pump.
@ looking at it they don’t seem to sell those parts. The hose and generator are all crimped together. I may buy a parts stove to sacrifice it. If I can sweat or braze the MSR generator into the hose plug on the apex stove then the MSR bottle will only have to provide the pressurized fuel and the Coleman generator and control valve will still do all the work. IMO the apex is a better stove than the whisperlite, but not nearly as compact for travel.
@@kcstafford2784 did you have an issue with them? I do feel like some of the things on there seem fragile. I just picked it up so I know very little about it. Thanks for watching and for commenting I appreciate it.
@ErikH86 there fine for bace camp but as you use them they always need tinkered with and finicky about fuels...If it's in my pack it's gotta be tuff...
you never see those stoves up here in Canada. Lots of Tim Hortons though. Thank you for showing them to us, Erik. Stay safe and stay warm
I appreciate you stopping by and thanks for watching.
I like how they look like a Lunar Lander...

Thanks, Patrick, I have an Oille's 5 minutes away. I'll have to check on that. I am excited for a light up. Thanks for watching.
Shoot out !!! Now I did hear one of these 2 models is somehow better , this will be good

@kcstafford2784 yeah I can see that. But a lightweight but more rugged would be the ideal setup.
