I like to fell trees at waist height so I can see what I’m doing also when your above the root swell at the bottom you have less wood to cut. Plus if a limb falls or the tree doesn’t go the way you intended you’re already on your feet for a quick retreat, thankfully in my case I don’t need that option hardly ever.
Those little Avants are so handy and durable use em for snow removal n they’re just so crisp I was shocked in the Midwest winters I also have helped that company for my line of work yet it’s awesome too see you guys using them! Cheers!
I had a less than great experience w taking a tree down recently. 60' tree started to come down and stopped midway amd just hung there, creeks and cracks were happening, little by little but it would come down. The saw had to be used at the backcut for it to fall. Im imagining this was spectacularly dangerous situation. It was not hung up on anything, it was leaning gently in yhe right direction...down the MTN so gravity was on my side, no disease noted. So was this a notch issue? Too small of a bar on the saw? Whats your opinion on what went wrong?
Thanks for the comment, what you explained usually happens from too small of a notch where it essentially closes before the tree falls over. This along with too much Hinge wood remaining will cause the tree to stop falling
No shit. Way to state the obvious. I'm pretty sure tree guys know about trees. But for all you know that tree was dead and that's why they're bringing it down. Or it was a danger to a house.
This is exactly how you're supposed to do it. I do it a tad bit higher but just a tad. And that's really just a comfort thing everyone else I know does exactly what he does. Send videos of you doing it I'd like to see I'm always down to learn.

Thank you sir I will be using this technique tomorrow on the project I sure hope it’s goes as smooth as the one in your video 🤞🏽🙏🏽
Good luck brother
Yes sir I did exactly what your video taught me the trees fell as planned 👍🏽👍🏽
@@RG-wy1ol fantastic! Excellent job
I mean I'm no expert but normally the tree falls when you are cutting it that's the point of the Notch is 2 create a hinge point that it falls over
That is correct but a notch alone will not make the tree fall in the desired direction. Usually a rope, wedges or a combo of the two are needed
Too much caffeine? lol awesome video… Yes!!!
It's down YES!!!
Alright, I wanna come work with you brother.

Just a giant weed it will grow back
Yes that is correct and it also had to be removed for a new building to go up but thanks for your comment 🤙👍👊
You need to sneak a no in, nobody will see it coming
Takin a shot of old grand dad evrry tome hee yesh!

Am I watching Scott Kilmer 😂😂😂
Yessah shaka approved
Likeable guy! Follow
I cut the bottom cut first that’s just me though
The Lorax is disappointed
Just because he speaks for the trees doesn’t mean he’s watching chainsaw tutorials on UA-cam! Or… is he?
Anyone else see floki from vikings with a chainsaw here??
Now some idiot will try and cut down a back leaner like this and drop it on their house.
And that is why they are referred to as idiots 👍👊
Dear… God…
The was the most goofiest tree fall 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wow terrible video. Doesn’t explain at all where you cut after the notch. And which way it should fall
No!
Just killing random trees because you spent so much on a chainsaw and have nothing better to do smh
Thanks for you comment Actually this is not random at all, this was for a development job where they built another house. 👍👊
Stihl tools suck lol garbage
Bro the yes is so annoying

Don’t listen to this man. Anyone with actual professional experience knows this is false.
