I honestly dont even wonder why you mostly dont reach the times that are listed. I think its going to be to hot, to high altitude and you launch way to hard.
Mate, you obviously launch way to high. And also dont compare 3 cars tested on 3 different days, also 160 in South Africa , 1000 in uk and a few others inother countries. Also concrete is not a surface to do 0-100 on. Also redlining in 1st gear is not what you should do, shift at 5500 rpm, i have outrun a1.8 polo gti stage one software with my stock st200 on killarney, you should revise your techniques of driving a manual and then do the tests again
gary clarke We’ve been using the same venue with the same surface for more than 10 years. All cars get tested in the same conditions. The idea is not a drag race with ideal traction. It’s to comparatively test all cars as scientifically as possible.
Why would s.o. do a 1/4 Mile with a ST200... its a Track Car not Drag
Do you have the video where you had the polo gti?
The kw number is 147 not 149kw
Did you test those cars on high altitude ?
Fedja Drndarski Yes, Pretoria is quite high altitude. Around 1400 metres
Curb Culture That explains little bit lower performance. Thanks.

Agreed.. he's not any good with a stick.
how low in the rpm did you try?
Stefan Schoeman
Sorry Stefan, I can't give you an exact rpm. But I tried plenty of variables.
Thanks, good video :)
Stefan Schoeman
Thanks a lot!
Mate if you launch a car on concrete it won't grip at all!!!
