- The Walking Dead's Seth Gilliam and Tom Payne gave a panel at Fandemic Dead 2022 to talk about the show, their careers, and to answer fan questions.
Seth Gilliam played Father Gabriel Stokes on The Walking Dead and his character has had a very transformative journey. He is also known for roles on The Wire, Teen Wolf, Oz, Starship Troopers, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, to name a few.
Tom Payne portrayed Paul 'Jesus' Rovia on The Walking Dead. He is also currently starring as Malcolm Bright in Prodigal Son and is also known for Luck, New Worlds, Waterloo Road, and Wuthering Heights.

I had no idea Seth was so funny in real life.
He’s amazing.
Gabriel is one of my favorite characters and his progression is almost unmatched in the show surprised the amount of hate it sounds like he’s getting
Facts the audience could to better with retention.. they only remember where they start when the show went on for years changing the characters into entirely new beings keeping like a fraction of who they once we're 😅
jesus shouldn't have died he's probably the only person who is wholesome in the show

He said he lost his voice, so he sounds very raspy.
@@FandomSpotlite Yes, but he is looking very thin and a bit frail. Like he's aged very quickly within the past couple of years.

@@gloriouss6352 Me too! I understand wanting to lose weight maybe, but he hasn't put on any noticable muscle and it happened so fast. He's still performing so that's a plus, so I don't know what to think. I know everything is not my/ the fans business but TWD is like extended family after all of these years...I wish he would tell us something. Maybe he decided to go hardcore vegan or practices intermittent fasting...(?) Most of the cast has switched to vegan I read. Anyway, I enjoyed the panel I'm just not used to seeing him this way.
@@TM-tc3om going vegan and fasting are the only thing that makes sense other than illness because he wasn't chubby or nothing before he lost the weight so it didn't just come off naturally. Either its a dramatic diet change or maybe illness. I hope it's the first one.
18:40 this was so cringe..,dude asked an actor in the walking dead…if it was a coincidence, that family is a reoccurring theme in both the advertising, as well as the scripts for the show….just…wow…these people drive on the same roads as us dude that’s scary lol
That’s not what I was asking. I think there’s a parallel between the theme of “found family” in TWD and in the WD fan community, and I wonder if the writers are intentionally reflecting the fan community in the show. Maybe not the best question for an actor though.
