Dan , u r so transparent, honest . U r d only vlogger who openly declared ur income . Great guy . God bless n may u be more blessed ๐โค
So nice of you
THis was great. Great content as always. Thank you. I appreciate the transparency and sharing of your numbers, and your journey! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Yep, you do a great job in being unique
Thank you too for sharing your everyday life. Iโm a lifetime member. Iโm still dreaming of your life but I did start my online business. When it takes hold Iโll be out there exploring the world.
Thanks for sharing. Let us know when you are our and about. :-)
Congratulations and well done on your great work! Before I considered moving to the Philippines, I researched ways to make a second income. The hard work has paid off and watching some of the interviews that you've done with other UA-camrs, I can assure everyone who watches this that you have a reputation, and it's all great. I don't know you, nor have we ever met. But I've seen some of your interviews with Tubers from the Philippines, and you are a great guy.
I would advise people interested in you course or business. $100,000 USD income is not highly unusual. There are UA-camrs who pull down over a million dollars a year. I know this sounds like a fortune. You do have to bring a few things to the game: a pleasing personality, some native curiosity about the world around you and the willingness to work hard. As folks can see, I am not trying to sell your course; you're doing a great job at that already. I look forward to purchasing your course, I was only able to find 1 other method to make some good extra income on the side. To those who buy your course, the best of luck and keep at the work. As you can see Dan's good fortune didn't happen overnight.
Great points! Thanks. ๐
Hi. Was the second way of extra income related to affiliate marketing? I have been watching Vagabond Awake for a long time and Sara Finance because of their direct approach and honesty. My fears keep me from starting and lots of questions. Dan likes to travel all over the place. I'd like to stay within certain areas of the Philippines when I retire, Puerto Rico and New York (to visit family). But the methods of obtaining affiliate marketers sound confusing and complicated sometimes.
Thanks for sharing your inspiring journey.
You are so welcome!
Yes, I am 46 years old, and I identify with the way you live your life with your girlfriend Chung
Thanks Dan, I'm already a lifetime member, following your reports. Retired 7 months ago, still making up my mind about the house. Looking at starting the slow travel around Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, to start. Now that Thailand bolloxed retiree's with their new tax, I'll probably base there for under the 180 days, then spend 3 month chunks around the other countries. I like the idea of a business, I don't think I have the fortitude to walk around with a camera, but, I'll continue to read your reports until I get it all settled in my mind. Thanks again.
Walking around with a camera implies a travel niche. Travel and investing are two of the hardest niches. If I were starting again today, I would pick one a little quirkier. That would come from your life experience. Make a list of your favorite 10 things in the world and start Googling to see examples of people sharing about those subjects. See what other niches you would enjoy. There is still room in travel and investments, it just takes a bit longer to monetize.
I'm glad you're making some dough on this. You are a great teacher. Love the videos and content. Yes, I'm a subscriber.
Awesome, thank you!
dan: damn good man
Dan, GREAT TOPIC! Loved the message!!! (You are "spot ON"!) I retired a few years ago, and being a retired engineer with a bunch of trades (that I am EXPERT in). I'm an autodidactic, (and autistic) - just for "shits and giggles" learned sewing (I bought some high end German machines that cost as much as a car in 1989 - so I can teach my 7 year old twin girls "sewing"). My recently born grandson, will learn "machining & welding" by the time he's 7 years of age. (I started at age 10, and built cars in my 20's). I do shit just for fun! (I have a machine shop, that's not as fancy as Jay Leno's). After my last fall, I'm not going up on the roof again. I'll pay people for that! My eye sight isn't as good as it was in my 20's, but I can still get the job done with 2.0 diopter "cheaters". I've worked on nuclear reactors - "Hot & Not", and have NDA's on some of the highest tech equipment in the steel business - if you're Ishikawa Harima Heavy Industries ... I could "sell for you guys", I'm that good. (Give me a call. I only work for good people). I've told my kid, (also an engineer), that I might do the "home schooling thing", just to insure the kiddies have a fighting chance.
Wow, great story. One of my good friends is a psychologist. She thinks I may be on the spectrum too.
The ending seemed cut off.
There was a commercial at the end but the sale on a lifetime membership ended so I cut it off. :-)
@@VagabondAwake ahh, makes sense!
Dan thanks for sharing the details on your business. Happy to support! I just took a remote job with better WLB and am looking forward to building my own business
I did remote work for the first 11 years of living overseas. Read "The 4 Hour Work Week" from Tim Ferris. He talks about the next step after remote work. You can do both until your own business takes off.
I "identify with" (your) truthfulness, dedication, professionalism (integrity) and well thought-out "Practical Advice" & Attn to Details .. Always, amazed how you engage and respond to comments .. Thank You, for what you do Dan / for Sharing all your Incredible & Helpful Exper, Insights & Info ..
Thanks Enzo, We are having fun living outside the box and it brings joy to us to point the way to others. Happy to hear it helps you in any possible way.
It's great to see that even though you started in 2019 from 2020 you began to make enough money to live in the majority of the southeast Asian countries comfortably.
True. Income has exceeded outgo for a few years now. :-)
Good evening to you, I just subscribed to your channel, I have a question for you if itโs ok to ask? In two years I plan to retire at 63 and have thought so much about moving to Vietnam mainly De Nang, I know I will be making at least 1500 to 1700 dollars a month on retirement plus what ever savings I have, the questions are do you think in two years from now that much money would I be able to make it over there? The other question would be is do you foresee any changes coming that would affect my retirement to De Nang? Right now I live in California and I am so tired of the United States States nonsense and I want to find some place to finally be happy and be able to breath! It would be nice to meet someone there but then Iโll be older so not sure about that! Any help would be appreciated and I look forward to more videos! Please take care
Oops I saw I spelled DeNang wrong itโs Danang sorry about that
Expats I have run into there spend anywhere from around $800 to $5000 per month depending on how rich they are and what lifestyle they want. Locals are often able to live on $400 to $1000 per month, unless they are rich. More typically, expats spend in the range of about $1500 to $2500 per month. I always recommend doing an exploratory visit there before making any permanent decisions. See what you will rent, eat, drink, and how you will entertain yourself and add it all up. :-)

Sounds like you are reaching escape velocity with the course/monetizing. Good things take time. Congratulations!
So true. Anything you can make a buck on in 30 seconds, anybody can copy and and it is saturated by the end of the week. That is why Google talks about authority. My course is all about authority via quality.
I like your videos. I just signed up for lifetime membership.
I lived overseas my whole life. Moved back to USA 4yrs ago because of Covib. I canโt stand being here. I leave tomorrow to explore the world to find my place to be.

Good morning Dan. Great day to be alive in Skopje, MK. I WANT IN!!! I've been watching and liking for a couple of years. Can you hold a spot for me until Thursday July 11th??? Dan, just so you know, it's July 11th and I emailed you as you requested. Following up here in case you miss my contact form. Thanks.
I appreciate the openness with which you talk about your income, Dan. For many weeks I was procrastinating over the lifetime membership and now I'm glad I did. I jumped on this offer as soon as it came out. By the way although I've heard you talk about the income side before, I never get tired of seeing these videos where you discuss actual data and show analytics. It serves as good encouragement.
Fantastic!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

Do you really think sipping a pint of beer all afternoon is how I make $327 per day? lol.
D'oh! Dan is not retired, his YT endeavor is not a hobby. Dan is a workaholic, producing stories to help others learn how to retire better. We thank him for info not available anywhere else. Lucky for us, I'm pretty sure Dan and Quiang enjoy their calling ๐

Why do you live in the cheapest apartments, shop at markets, constantly obsess about living on c.$1k pm at 62 and brag about $10k pm income? It doesn't add up
Well the entire scope of the channel is to show people how to live on a budget in foreign countries. Not to mention some people prefer a simple frugal life regardless of how much money they are making. Myself included.
@@Cambodiavibe he wasnโt making $10k/mo until very recently. He shows his income progression over the last five years and it was very slow and steady growth.

I went broke the first time when I was 21 years old. I was living beyond my means. Now I know what it feels like to live below your means and I will never be foolish with money again. That said, if you have watched a few of my videos before you know I live all over the world and have a life beyond my dreams. I just don't need to buy bright shiny things to feel successful anymore.
