CDL CLASS A PRE TRIP INSPECTION 2022 MOST UP TO DATE !!! Need some help with your CDL CLASS A PRE-TRIP in Virginia ? Watch this video!! It will help you tremendously!!
I watched this video a couple times before my test yesterday, and I passed! It had been a while since I got out of class and I just wanted to say I really appreciate the refresher!! Don’t think I could’ve done it without this video!
Thank you so much for sharing Bella! 🥰 I am in week 2 of my CDL class and this info is great! The instructor is calm and clear. The key is to stay calm and try not to be nervous when the time comes to do this for the DMV tester. 😊🙏
This is a good overall pre trip list of what you need to learn all together but for clarity sake to any prospective drivers want to getting their license; double check your own state’s dmv checklist! Tests vary a lot from state to state. Some want specific things mentioned and in others you may find things you don’t need to mention found in this video. Also tests can be broken down covering different areas of truck. In California there’s 3 different forms; A-front of truck lights and naming engine parts & then just mentioning 5th wheel parts (you wouldn’t cover the door parts/battery/def tanks) to name a example. Totally up to dmv inspector’s whim on what they want you to cover.
But with this you'll still know and be able to identify many parts so this still is a very good video to study because it looks like he pretty much covered the whole of one side and of course you inspect it the same on the other side so even if you don't need all of them you can never be over prepared only always ready
@@abishialja-iz6948 Yes I agree on your merit/point but I’m just making noise to all that your own state could require other verbiage that needs to be said or even less. I didn’t need to say “___ or it will be put out of service” jargon at all in My California test. Saved me that trouble from remembering it! Also in California he would’ve gotten missed marks for not mentioning caps having a good rubber seal and not saying gear driven air compressor, plus more. It’s little stuff like that I’m trying to spread awareness too, so you cross reference your schools & state study guide to this video.
@@joecarmine8044 oh wow thank you very much so it really depends on what state you are in so that means you actually have to go to a school just like you said thank you
Congrats! The tester expecting u to know everything or just a general sense of what the parts are and the condition they r in with the terminology? I feel like it really overwhelming all this info and almost impossible to grasp everything and pass. Smh
Truck is broken into 3 parts front, middle trailer. You have to know general parts and condition. Study your air brakes test to, it's a pass or fail. Look up Case CDL and watch those videos. Charles is who I used and he breaks it down so it's easy to understand. Good luck
I've watched at least 20 Cascadia engine compartment pretrip videos. I still don't know what the air compressor, governor or power steering pump looks like much less what condition they're in...or how to know.
i would recommend just getting your CDL Class A. that is top tier!! you will be able to drive ANYTHING ( class A, B, or C) you’ll be able to drive it all with just your Class A !! best of luck !!! 🍀
@@truckingwithbella Nah if you decide you want to drive a city bus, motor coach, or school bus they make you do the entire CDL test over with whatever company you choose unless you have the passenger endorsement. Alot of truck drivers was in training with me for the city bus, and they had to do the entire CDL test over for class b since they didn't have the passenger endorsement.
One of the zzzzzzz best videos on yt ever, hats off 4this instructor very clear and precise kept everything in order easy to follow 👍, if there's 5 star rating i will give you 10 naaaah you deserve 20. That a lot I'm preparing myself for the test and i have watched soooo many videos but I'm gonna stick with this jewely here. Much respect SIR and thank you.
This is one of the best ones I’ve seen for pretrip! This truck looks exactly the same as the one my school has, thank you for sharing with us all 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
bella finna help me test out next week. 😂 cause this damn pretrip the hardest part in school rn… and now I’m deciding to learn my pretrip a with one week left of school 😭😭😭😭
@@truckingwithbella most definitely needed. cause that’s sooo much to remember in the mist of testing out for everything 😂 that’s the one part I watched everybody struggle with, now my crazy ass sitting here got it all down packed except pretrip, with 8 days till graduation 😭😭😭.
@@Theerealmykel1 lmao !!! don’t feel bad we’ve all been there, even me 😂😂😂… i took my test last week and passed .. i had my notes out, had this video goin & was studying that pre-trip before my test
I think you misunderstood your New Mexico rules. It’s no more than 10% free play in a 20” steering wheel which equals 2” free play. The guy in video was correct
yes. you have to know your pre-trip which is the entire truck. inside & outside & you have to do a air leakage test as well. you absolutely can not miss anything on the air leakage test.
Girl, I feel you. I'm still in class too. We are just starting our drives. I'll keep you in my prayers . Hopefully I'll be on the road soon. I'm down in Florida. Let me know how it goes!! -GIRL POWER!
This is too much how we supposed to pass this ? The tester really expecting us to know everything without any mistakes I mean most of us r just Barely getting into trucking .
Hey be encouraged. I remember looking at this video before I took the CDL class. Tbh it was a mistake because every school teach it differently. Also with the amount of repetition you will have going over the pre trip inspection. It will become so easy, it’s basically seeing the parts and memorizing them. You will be fine. You just gotta focus for the next 2 or 3 weeks
Sean is the only instructor in ancora Hampton the rest of them bunch of looser drivers. Keith is the worse i never learn anything from him only screaming all time .
Thank you for this, instructor is clear spoken, nice pace and goes in depth to exactly what I needed to study for my test. SAFE TRUCKING Y'ALL!
you are more than welcome !! best of luck to you !!!
😏🤷🏾♂️
Correct
Any of ya'll going into trucking know the DAC report means nothing. "Soviet Union" Foreign owners have an illegal page that bad mouths drivers.
There's a page that drivers don't know about it and it's supposed to be secret. Companies blkball drivers there so nobody hires you
Thanks 4 da video. Very in depth and well spoken about the inspection. I pray everyone who watches this video pass their pre trip test.

I appreciate the good lighting when pointing out the details underneath the truck; it allowed me to see clearly what I was looking at.... thank you!
Y'all did a great job on this video! 👏 Thank you so much!
Best of blessings in 2 days & thank you for sharing! I'm right behind you.

OOPS! I did call it the sliding tandem instead of sliding 5th wheel.
I went with a trailer that the parking brakes didn't work. Would that fail me?

We were given a nice list from our instructor. Message me on my IG at ADayWithMel and I can send you pictures if you like.

Is this a 2016 or 2014 Freightliner cascadias?
Steering rod is no more 10 inches of Free Play here in New Mexico
I noticed he said 2

I thought the front was 2 and the back tires are 4 32
Nope front can’t be no less than 4/32 tread depth. 2/32 on all other tires. 2/32 is practically bald. May pops is what we call ‘em
Did roadmaster approve you to post this video?
This was approved by him, yes. He actually recommends the students to watch this vid if they don't record their own.

Wrong about play on the push rod it's 1/2 to 3/4 in of play
State dependent on what they want you to say I think. In California, inch of play was what we were taught
