My favourite circuit in the entire world. It's on my bucket list to visit! I'd love to sit at the top of Forest's Elbow and see the V8s race past and down the hill at 200mph.
One of my favourite stories about the mountain is the first time Alan Moffitt went there so he's standing at the top at skyline with another driver on the road looking at the magnificent view and he says to the Aussie this is a great lookout but where's the track I can't see it Aussie casualie looks at him and says your standing on it pal Moffits turns gray and spultters get fucked !!!.
They used to race motor cycles around this track every Easter They used to have an average of 1 FATAL crash per year In a car this track is scary good...on a motorcycle ....BLOODY INSANE!!
The good old days thousands would go for the riot and punch on with cops rolling battles on the mountain crowd charging the police compound under cover of darkness and burning cop cars crowd had turned the shithouse into a fort both sides armed up hand to hand combat firemen in it as well dozens of ambos coming and going Are yer there was a bike race too apparently.
Yep, those were the days. Before The Chase was added the bikes would be on the back wheel over the final hump of Conrod Straight at close to 300kph. Not for the faint hearted. From age 10 my dad took me to every Easter Australian GP there from 1970 until it stopped. Just great, great memories.
The margin for error is SMALL....if a driver makes an error it is quite often the LAST error of his race. It is a scary prospect as the walls are VERY close together. The driving line for optimum speed is TIGHT! I have only ever driven the track in its public road state...but I have NO idea how they do 172kmph average...because the cameras do NOT really do the elevation changes on the course and through corners any justice!!
@TheRenegaderacer I love laguna seca, it's one of the best tracks on earth, but I think bathurst is australia's nurburgring, it's so good, it can only be compared to only track better than it and everything else, the ring. especially with the complex, tight and wild turns, it does remind you a lot of nurburgring
No one can fuck with me on MOUNT PANORAMA on real racing 3, i'm literally a fucking beast on that track, UNBEATABLE! I win the race by like fucking 5000+ yards.
This quite frankly is the GREATEST 6.213km of race track in the world. It is NOT a Formula 1 ....never was never will be and anyone who says different knows SFA about motor racing. It is the most testing road track in the world They do this track under race conditions in 2 mins 11 seconds That is that is an average of just over 172 kmph So in the 6.213km the cars climb to the top of the Mt. Approx 300m....go across Skyline .then down through the "S's"..thru the cutting and down the Mountain.
Paul EJ sorry to burst ur bubble mate but in 2011 Jenson Button set the fastest lap time ever for this circuit in his Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes F1 car.
Yes, but that is just one F1 car in a promotional even. SO that lap record don't count. What about a full F1 field under proper race condition's? Would they have a race here then? No.
@minjo79 cheers, I meant as in that intro when they were comparing V8 drivers to other athletes, would love to know if you have it, and if you do, could you upload it?
I'm praying this track gets added to GT5, and macau. If anybody doesn't know this track and macau, you need to learn, seriously, check them both out, 2 of the greatest tracks on earth
@18PacWest I know people love spa but it's completely overrated, bathurst is twice the track that Spa is, bathurst is the greatest track in the world other than the obvious king of all tracks, the nurburgring
one of the most beautiful race tracks in the world
One day I dream of visiting Australia (from UK) and driving or at least seeing Bathurst. Most amazing track in the world.
Nurburgring
Bathurst
I'm going in July this year. Have never seen it up close but have raced on it in GT7.
No place for the faint hearted. a real test for man and machine..
Deadly and lovely track, mi second favourite after nurburgring
Great video. Thanks. We don't get enough of the V8 Supercars here in the States. Best racing series in the world!
Skafie. Thanks for mentioning UNDER THE TREE (after the cutting) I have not heard it since Brockie back in the 80's...
Love the commentary? love this track.bazz
Might be of the best tracks in the world. It's insane in Iracing

brutal yet awestruck track
My Favorite race track in Real Racing 3 Mount Panorama
Been playing real racing 3 iPad edition thought to look up my favorite track. From the comments I'm far from alone.
They used to race motor cycles around this track every Easter

this track is pure adrenaline rush.
Favorite track in Real Racing 3!
@NZTritium the point is... this track doesn't need Formula 1 ;)

This track is so awesome
Love it on real racing 3 (although not complete feel) and can't wait for it to be available on iracing
they should do a video like this around the TT course
@TheRenegaderacer I love laguna seca, it's one of the best tracks on earth, but I think bathurst is australia's nurburgring, it's so good, it can only be compared to only track better than it and everything else, the ring. especially with the complex, tight and wild turns, it does remind you a lot of nurburgring
@ncmike213 sure it is! i love V8s!! :)

@minjo79 cheers, I meant as in that intro when they were comparing V8 drivers to other athletes, would love to know if you have it, and if you do, could you upload it?
The man from uncla old one
Berny, Formula 1 NEEDS this track!
@Liam07Leo you mean 2010 track into? i think i can find it. gotta let you know...
I meant to say down through the "Dipper" and then "Forest Elbow" onto Conrod.
BP cutting is on the way up.
2:11 to 2:15 that would be fun to drive!!!!!
Looks great for DTM (Germany's idea of V8Supercar) racing.
Or maybe some GT3 racing.
Either way. It looks great. Would love to do a lap myself.
@minjo79 the point is... bathurst need 25 mil. to have formula 1 :p
The background music is so annoying because of the high volume
It is Australia's Laguna Seca.
No it isn't! It's Mt. Panorama! The US has NOTHING to match this!
And big one too
what year was this recorded? Skaife not in a HRT car or wearing his own HRT race suit, Skaife really is the master :)
2009.
@@DanielFigueroaPalomo it wasnt his own car tho or team so why is what im questioning
@@davey6680 It was Greg Murphy's.
@@DanielFigueroaPalomo ah ok i dont recognize it as Murph's but ok
@@davey6680 Skaifey teamed up with Murph that year.
it's not even the original grate, council workers removed it and replaced it with a new one in the early 80's
Dude, do you have the FULL Bathurst intro for 2010? I wanna see it and i've searched all over the web and can't find it, could you please help me!
ive driven this track its on my Chanel
exclamation mark not a question mark , sorry .
Gt6 is going to have this track
I'm praying this track gets added to GT5, and macau. If anybody doesn't know this track and macau, you need to learn, seriously, check them both out, 2 of the greatest tracks on earth
this track needs more trees so it would be more safe
Bring it on sir. Too bad the TSP sucks tho'.
If F1 came here, every driver would die in one crash...
There's a clip on u tube Jensen button and Craig Lowndes do a ride swap F1 and supercar at Bathurst.
ok, wait for gt5
Dare someone to name a better track in the world that isn't 28km long
fat cat I'm European, and Nurburgring is overrated.
thumps up if u from GTplanet..
er, want me to challenge that?
@Smithtyler123X F1=Hella fast speed, Bathurst=tight and twisty... fast+tight and twisty= did i really need to say the obvious here?
Real Racing 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this track is not convenient for F1 anyway..
GT6
ballzy
lol yeah. not a true reflection of another driver's performance. And the game really should've had a time trial.
@18PacWest I know people love spa but it's completely overrated, bathurst is twice the track that Spa is, bathurst is the greatest track in the world other than the obvious king of all tracks, the nurburgring
F1 at Mt Panorama? Eewwww.... no thanks.
@Liam07Leo check my channel
God that music is so fucking obnoxious
