Just what I needed! A Natalie Vlog! 🤩 That hike was spectacular! Loved seeing the stockhorse weekend. My librarian bestie back in Tennessee does barrel racing. It’s adorable to see her two littles competing on their ponies. I’m over here shouting pick up that smutty romance! Of course I was laughing with you about “pod” but I knew you were exhausted from the camping trip. Same thing happens to me in front of the camera. ❤️😂🤣
It’s so lovely to see you and your family, Natalie. You have inspired me to take a new look at my reading and I’m so grateful to you. I had an accident recently and severely fractured my ankle. The forced inactivity has put me in a bit of a depression and as a result, I’ve lost my focus a bit. You have reminded me the joy and comfort reading can be! I may be stuck on the couch at home but I can escape to wherever I want to go via my books. As always, much love to you from rainy Seattle. ❤️💙❤
Oh lovely - I’m so sorry to hear of your accident. And so happy to be a little reminder to you of the escape reading can bring. And perfect rainy Seattle weather to do it in. Enjoy your many reads to come 😘
@@NatalieMeree Thabk you! Also, I was wondering if you could suggest a place to start with Helen Garner? I haven’t read any of her works but you have me intrigued!
Scared the crap out of me too 😆 Would have been amazing for you to read Pod with all of your knowledge. I did think of you a few times when I was a bit baffled and having to look things up x
I love seeing the sunsets there ….. and it was good seeing horses luv that ….. and I agree I hate malls as well and shopping unless it’s book shopping lol … enjoyed the video and hope you come back soon 💞📖💞
This brought me so much joy. Wondering what a group of dolphins was and the tea incident (which I may have replayed a few times) made me almost cry with laughter. Also, yay, you’re doing the savidge prompts! You’ve made me desperate to head to that Garner. I’ve only read The Spare Room but I loved it. I have THOUGHTS on Pod 😱🐬
Glad I could repay the favour of making you cry with laughter in a Vlog 😜 Of course I am going the savidge prompts though this is my first month. Just a little slow off the mark 😬 Please read more Helen Garner so we can chat x
I love when your vlogs pop up in my feed! So beautiful and zen 😭❤❤. I feeeeel this bit about the old school expectation that your husband's main business is your main business as well 👏. Why does it always feel weird to admit to people that my life and interests are separate from my husband's despite this being the 21st century?! I loved this vlog! I'm excited you're starting them up again! (but don't let that make you feel pressured and weird if you don't end up doing it - life is hard 😅❤)
I know!!!! Even with all the awakening I’m working on that conditioned thought still creeps in. Thanks for sharing so I don’t feel so alone 😘 And right back at you - LOVE when I see your vlogs pop up x
My husband and I both liked The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida, glad the tea did not burn you, I put milk in mine, safety measure. I did ruin a book by spilling hot chocolate on it. Swam with the dolphins on West Coast of Australia, more like wading with dolphins.
What an amazing experience - in Pod she spoke about the wild dolphins relying more and more on food from humans. It got me thinking… Can’t wait to get to The Seven Moons
I know you have published this several weeks ago, but I have been busy and only have sit with this video now, but I love to see you back. I have been thinking about you lately, because I have been reading period power, which is a book about the seasons in our periods and how to tune to it, which is what you often talk about. ❤
Dear Natalie, I just about screamed when u picked up Helen Garner, love that book so much. I really relate to your feelings of inspiration that her writing brings out in you. I felt the same way, even when she mentions the price of chops back in the day !! You will have to read her three diaries published just after covid you will love them !!❤❤ they are amazing ! I have done that so many times with my tea😂 l think you have every right to demand your local library to buy more translated fiction , l work in a library , you can request them to buy books !!! Give yourself lots of kudos!! You do so much better than l do , l am still at the stage one day l'll do a vlog ! 😂 Am very interested in reading Hydra as could it be based on her internal mythos of Hydra?? I think hercules had to kill one in the Greek myths. Anyway always look forward to your vlogs . Dont stress. Omg l hate shopping malls too😢 Take care, have heard a lot of good things about Pod but yeah that was funny l so laughed with you. When u are exhausted that is wat happens Rest up keep reading cheers from Leonie
I am absolutely lining up to read Helen Garner’s diaries. Thanks for the reminder x And thanks for the reminder that I can order books through the library. I should request some translated fiction. I have only ever requested books on prize lists but increasing there translated offerings is just as important. Appreciate you sharing that with me x And please do that one day Vlog. The more reading voices the better x
I know so much to read !! But yes tell those library beeeaaaches to order ! There is an intriguing short list of booker international books floating around on booktube. Thanks Natalie ❤
Hi Natalie. I love Helen so much. I need to reread that book. I’m looking forward to reading Hydra. All that’s left unsaid from the Stella prize was five star for me. Enjoy your reading and maybe writing?
I'm so happy to have a few of your vlogs to catch up on! Oooh you're the first person I've seen who has a positive opinion on pod.. I dnf'd it and in all of the women's prize vlogs and discussions I've watched, nobody has liked it at all, so it's great to see an alternate view point! I'm going to see right now if I can get Helen Garner from my library... Beautiful vlog as always. Omg the tea spillage though 🙈🙈 xx
Ooooh 44 minute vlog!! Love it!!
Oh! Also, you took spilling the tea to a whole new level!
I have a knack for clumsiness 😆

And don’t worry - the smutty romance is coming up real soon 😮
I'm sorry about your tea, I know how saddening it can be setting up to be cozy with your book and then life happens :)
Yep life has a way of making you jump 😆
This was a lovely treat, Natalie! ❤❤❤

Yep laughing hard 🤣🤣 happy to see a vlog of yours in my YT feed this morning 💕 yay for Eurovision!

"The Year of the Runaway" woman was me. 👋🏻 Gosh, that must have been in 2019! Definitely before the pandemic started.
Thank you! 😊
It was you ♥️♥️♥️
Did you ever finish it?

Clapping for your “pod” revelation. 🤣
🤦♀️
@@NatalieMeree it was an endearing.
Brent wants to know if you’re originally from the Melbourne area. He’s listening to your accent.
Nope - but how I wish I was!
Born and bred in Queensland
Are there different Australian accents for different regions? I need to know more!
