Eff the ‘nostalgia’. This song lacks in several areas and also reenforces why the song they chose for the trailer works even better. ‘Love is a long long road’ is a double entendre, highlighting both the tumultuous love story of the two protagonists AND the love of both developers and fans for the series, which have slogged it out making it and waiting for it. This song fits nicely, but it’s a stark reminder that the music plays a very important part. It changes the mood completely, the original just fits so well

This is one of my favorite songs, but this combo just doesn't work. This song belongs to Los Santos! Nothing can replace that feeling or that nostalgia. Also, the Tom Petty song is pretty perfect with the trailer. Loved it!
The song choice is fine and fits well enough taken on its own. My only issue is it makes the trailer seem a little *too* similar to the GTA V trailer with the Chain Gang of 1974 song "Sleepwalking" on it. It doesn't feel enough like it's its own thing anymore. It just feels more like it's trying to be a copy of that. That's my only criticism. Take it however you want.
