    The reputation of Oaxaqueños is that they are very decent, courteous, intelligent, hard workers. Mexicans are proud of their Oaxaqueños.

    You two are killing me.....I started fallowing you in Vallarta...well since then you have shown me sooooo much more of Mexico than I could have ever have dreamed of. I fell in love with your videos of Mexico City, Guanajauto, SMA and now this place! Puerto Escondido look so interesting. The easy accessibility and the lack of development is a huge plus. We have already checked out flights and Airbnb's. Thank you for all you do.

    Yeah, Oaxacans are the nicest and friendliest people, as long as you are not a government agency picking on them or a foreign _company_ sneaking up to try to steal their resources and produce, because then Oaxacans turn into an army of the Prince of Darkness.

    Hello young ones. I grew up in California when the surf culture was being invented -- long ago and far away. Since you're now in big surf country, it's very important to learn is how to tell if there is a rip tide and what to do if you get caught in one. . . It can -- literally -- save your life. You can look that up on line.

    • @kinetickennons
      @kinetickennons  6 років тому +3

      I try and watch videos about that stuff whenever possible. Rip tides and currents are no joke!! We are going to try and do our best between having fun and being safe :) I'm staying out of Zicatela! lol

    We love Puerto Escondido. We started going there in 2002 and went all the way by bus from Dallas to Puerto. Amazing trip. We continued to go at least twice a year until 2009 and we are hoping to go back some day. Good to see that some things haven't changed. Our favorite time to be there is at Dios de las Muertos. We've been in Oaxaca city and Puerto Escondido and both are amazing at that time of the year (or any time). The Cafecito on the Rinconada is a wonderful place for breakfast and walking by that laundry always made me smile because it smelled so good and clean. And that walkway and stairway to Carazalillo is one thing that keeps the beach a little less crowded although I can say it usually doesn't have waves as big as on your video...maybe time of year or a storm out at sea? We tease each other than there's 234 steps down and 982 steps up. Only way to get there is by boat or those steps. Great coco locos there. Thanks for enjoying this place as much as we do. You guys are about the age of our grandkids so it makes me smile to see the younger generation appreciating that it's not all "americanized" there

    Loving your channel so much! New here and gathering info for a full time move in the next 1.5 year ( somewhere in MX) leaning towards PV bc of the familiarity ( friends live there part time) and we’re very much beginners at Spanish. But budget is a concern for us. We’re young 50 something’s that want to be by the beach, and easy access to the states ( for grandkid visits) any advice would be so appreciated. Keep up the great work! You guys rock! Total naturals in front of the camera. Love to see the transformation of Greg from the beginning videos 👍😊 much more chill now

    If you get back to Playa Zicatella in PE, you should go down to the southern end, La Punta (The Point). As minimally touristy as the northern end is (i.e., where El Cafecita is located), La Punta is even less, more laid back, minimalist and great cheap restaurants. That´s where we hang out, when we´re in PE. Also, for getting around PE, the colectivos are cheaper, $7 MX (pesos) one way per person. They are pickup trucks, with seats and a Conestoga style canvas cover. You saw them, no doubt.

  • @azkane1

    Greg, don't try body surfing the shore break. The only ride you get is to be smashed down into the sand. You could get hurt. Rent a boogie board and FLIPPERS and find someone to take you out. Don't go alone. It's a lot of fun. But the surf in PE is powerful. I really enjoy your videos each day. You should go to Cuidad de Oaxaca and to Merida. Valladolid is a must see.....jump into a cenote! You and Hillary keep up the great informative videos.

    HAPPINESS IS: Getting pummeled by one of those giant waves! I'm envious of you my esteemed Goyo,....the waves of every beach place I've been, they've been like kiddie pools, beautiful but no GUSTO, no COMMOTION,...Guaymas, Rincon de Guayabitos(near Vallarta), Acapulco, Veracruz and Tecolutla, Ver. :)
