The location is one of a kind and historic, the layout seems to be world class, and if the drifting cars aren't just a gimmick, this has a good chance to be one of the best coasters around.
You're welcome! It's a fun project to follow. I can't believe how many times I've been to the park since I started doing these videos back in September of last year. Prior to that, I last visited in 2011 for HHN and 2007 for a regular day! And before that it was in the mid-90s. Ha.
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork I get sad when the vid is under 10 min, I know some weeks there isn't so much to look at, but your videos bring me the most joy! ☺
@9:55. The next 4 footers for supports going toward lower lot are done. Supports on the way. In every shot a tree is in the way. You can only see it from the tram ride.
I'm gonna go out on a limb. I think it's going to take a page out of the velocicoaster at the top hat. The feeling of weightlessness at the very top. So that role might only get you to thirty forty miles an hour. But it's gonna feel a lot faster going through that tunnel, and that close to the ground.
Yeah, I also feel many are sleeping on this coaster. Shouldn't there be even more people watching my videos? Haha. And, yeah, that sunset was something else! So glad I captured it. Got some amazing photos too.
@@revived2036 trolling karnage has live footage from today. It was literally held up with one crane. And slid in with another. More track delivered tonight. Will continue with next 2 tracks going up tomorrow after park is closed because of how close to escalators again though. Public won’t get to see.
@@Atyomommahouse-p2m Thank you! I'm confused, their putting track tonight or they already put the track last night? Are they putting more track every day throughout the next 2 weeks?
Looks like Intamin wants to go out with a bang like Velocicoaster, that heartline roll looks more like the one at Cheetah Hunt and not like the Mosasaurus roll, so it doesn’t look too intense, however with good speed and the vehicle rotating at the right angle, it could be very special ending to the roller coaster.
I know right? That inversion is really insane it could whip you around while spinning to the final brakes. And also where is that parking lot is where you were closer look for Fast and Furious?
It's what the overlook, Super Silly Fun Land and the Despicable Me attractions are built on top of. To access it, walk past the front gate (from the CityWalk side) and there's a path with escalators that go down to each level. It's a public lot for guests. So not sure why security is so protective of it.
Oh yeah! Right after my visit a couple weeks ago, I saw a post about them power washing it. Such good timing because in that vlog I mentioned that test sample from two years ago and was wondering when they might get around to painting the entire thing. Are they actively painting it today? I'd like to get back soon, but have work. Thinking about going on Monday.

💯
I just told my friend this, after watching this video haha.
Thanks for your efforts on going to this park so often and documenting the progress on this coaster build. It's amazing how fast that crew works!

@11:14 Spectacular sunset shot. 👍👍👍 This could possibly be one of the best views from any coaster on the planet.
Yeah the sunset was incredible! I got some pictures too! Posted on Facebook.
Needed some good news today! 😌
I heavily appreciate your videos, quick and to the point
Thank you! I'm glad you like them and appreciate that I keep them as concise as possible. 8-12 minutes is my goal.

Thanks! I guess I need to get on that tram ride! Wishing it wasn't so long.

Thank you for your updates!
You're welcome!
I go to Universal Studios Hollywood all the time and this is Exciting !
Thank you Chris. I need the entertainment. It's been quite smokey here all day.
You're welcome!
I’m getting a chuckle with how many times you said wow in this video! I told you so… :) It probably looks incredible in person!
I get a little excited sometimes! 😂
But, seriously, I've never seen anything quite like it before.
That inversion will be awesome after that Immelmann!

man, this coaster is going to be insane, the people sleeping on this coaster will wake up soon enough 💯
Also, damn that sunset 11:16

Looks amazing 🥰
It really does! And this is just the beginning.
Lets go!
I just went to universal studious and wow! I knew it would look bigger in person but this coaster is massive! 😱
Right? And just wait until the supports go up on the other side of the escalators. Along with the track.
New track went up under escalators!
Yeah happened after the park closed. I look forward to getting back.
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork this week and next week should have more track
Do you have the account that posted the new track?

Any idea if they plan to reinstall the "UNIVERSAL CITY" letters back over there?
Not sure. But given the ride name of "Hollywood Drift" it would make more sense to have a "Hollywood" sign there.
I heard that they will put a huge neon sign right where it once was.

The roll is pretty much identical to the one on VelociCoaster. Except this one has a rise in elevation into the element.
That's crazy. I was in that port-a-potty when it lifted. It's their new VIP drop tower called, the Hollywood Crap Ride Rocket.
LMFAO! You win the Internet today! 🤣
Hollywood Roll!!
Toretto Roll is looking great!

Anyone know what the little house looking buildings are for? Is it for added theme? It would be cool if it was almost like a chop shop for cars ?
Added theming. Very curious how it'll all look when done. I have a feeling there will be more theming along the ride than people are expecting.
I believe it’s queue
They are doing some work on the lower lot behind the mummy ride- I think just some hillside/ retaining wall update
Oh yeah. I meant to check that out. I believe it's just reinforcement.
This should have been made a dual racing rollercoaster
That would have been awesome. But it's already doing so much.
That’s awesome and so isn’t the Tool uni
keep it going andy uk
I don't know if you know or not, but they are repainting Goliath at Magic Mountain. I'm at Magic Mountain today 11/8/24
