People can deny it , but these two videos you made really helped me as an offlane player. Helped me realize how I was supposed to make space and where I was supposed to farm and try to make kills happen and push towers.
Hey Blitz, glad to see you back on UA-cam. Your videos are extremely useful, knowledgable, and well appreciated. Hope to see more during / after the TI hype train is over. Cheers.
i wish there were more of these type of contents available. most tutorial vids are for less than 3 and 4k players. this farm thing already made my game sense as core go super higher
It's so cool, thanks to your past video, I literally lifted 300 mmr for a couple of days, I started winning games that, as it seemed to me impossible to win, just pushing the line when it's needed.
Early game pressure sounds like an interesting topic. It goes hand in hand with hero picks (if your carry can deal with the offlaner alone, if mid can 1vs1 safely), but anything to let my team stop doing inefficent dual offlanes
If people are wrong, keep proving them wrong, Blitz. I'm glad you're making these short videos that actually have so much knowledge and game impact. Thanks for doing these, and keep uploading, you've earned a sub.
I would love a video where you talk about how to make better deciscions as a team, specifically how decent mmr amateur teams can improve their hero movement in the mid to lategame and when to take which objective. Thank you alot for your videos!
for everyone saying that you are unable to do this when you are behind is actually so stupid, the kind of map movement focused here is rather based on the early mid game where you usually won't be losing so HARD that you are so susceptible to be ganked for pushing out waves and if you do lose that hard in the early mid game whatever you do would be futile. Besides, you should be able to differentiate whether to push out waves or go join your team to fight when you see the opposition have more than 3 heroes showing at the other side of the map depending on the game and if you don't you probably won't get to understand this.
I love that someone that is high level player makes dota 2 content. I feel like dota2 lacks higher level content, and this is breath of fresh air. Keep making this kind of videos Blitz!
kometijanac you should watch dota d bowie if youre looking for more high level content. i may have botched the name a bit but that should be enough for him to come up in your youtube search.
Blitz, im a spoiled rich kid, i took coaching lessions from bsj and ccnc, and i need a session from you since i feel u make more sense and im willing to pay a good amount of money..
Amazing videos Blitz, this super on point and very educative, well done. I'd probably have a question / tip for a video. And that concerns tempo of the game, tempo of the leading team, who needs to keep up the pressure, keep the foot on the throtle, to make sure, their lead is secured and eventually gets them to win the game. What would be the less obvious aspects too look at while doing this (having your lanes pushed and pressuring towers being one of them)?
Well, if the enemy shove all 3 lanes at the same time they're vulnerable to ganks. If they're not then you can shove out one lane for sure. It's hard to answer to this question because it really depends on the lineup and on the lead the enemy team has. If the enemy has a super fat storm that can jump half the map then theres no way for you to shove out lanes as a nyx for example.
Cheers for the vids so far! Very useful!! I'm in the lower 4K and seem to be losing a lot of games because of missed timings. It would be great if you can share some info about that. Example 1: Get a kill in enemy jungle but instead of pushing the tower we chase for a while or kill creeps in the jungle. GG Example 2: Our team needs to be the one to win early but people don't itemise for the same timing. GG etc. Thanks again!
Make a video about how to efficiently farm. Like how far into the future do you look when planning your farm route etc. I think a big problem is that many people only think one step ahead, and suddenly they find themselves at a place where there are no good places to farm and they have to run a long way wasting a lot of time.
Make a video about tempo. I suspect I'm not alone in not knowing what the hell Tempo is. Its easy to understand in the context of a turn-based game, and I think these two videos touch upon a bit of what it means in DOTA2. I suspect its a very nebulous and important concept, and I don't see any videos that give satisfying answers.
I think tempo is pretty similar to the concepts blitz is talking about here but with more of an emphasis on time instead of space. You push a lane, which forces the enemy to respond -- that gives your team the initiative, it's your team's turn now in a sense. A blitz video that fleshes this out would be excellent, great idea.
Tempo and Timing are two different things in Dota2. One has to do with control and setting the pace of a game. The other deals with getting your heroes online and knowing where your team is in its power curve.
Tempo means the pace the game is going. For example, a big tempo controlling hero can be a dragon knight mid. He keeps you to a slow early game, and then sets the tempo for your team for pushing, since you'll generally focus around him. Puck can also be a tempo controller. If puck goes very aggressive, the enemy team will have to respond. Or if puck goes safe, the enemy team also has to respond. Therefore, despite what other heroes your team might have, puck is setting the tempo.
yeah i to hear him i had to max volume of youtube, windows AND headset, all of which usually don't need to be maxed on my pc. And he was still somewhat low
I would really like a video on what you should be doing as a carry during this mid game lane shoving. Afk farm jungle because space created? Shove another lane simultaneously?
As stacking is back, can you tell us when is the best time to leave a lane and stack without causing any harm to our carry? Thank you :) Your vids are very informative.
Could you talk about your thought process in teamfights? For example, I am a very agressive player and when I play carries like AM, I sometimes go in first instead of waiting for my initiator like Cent to start the fight. This usually happens when my initiator is super passive and does not see good initiation opportunities. How would you handle such situations? If you know any common team fight mistakes 4k+ players do, I would be interested!
Since there are 5 people on a team, how do you decide who pushes out what lane? And assuming you have 1 guy per lane, are the other 2 then fine to take the safe farm in their jungle/ancient areas?
i will sound really cocky but when i told my lower friends about this, theyre 3k 4k ish, they won't listen and just farm jungle and watch as I push a tower alone. i am 6k and am their friend, but somehow they just won't listen. i hope after i showed this, they'd think differently.. thanks blitz
Hey Blitz how about a video explaining when it's okay to abandon your lane as an offlane/mid vs when you should try to at least defend your tower vs when you can just ditch everything and go do something else? I feel it's a lot more subjective and in the same direction as your other vids
Hey blitz good video, kinda surprising anyone would argue this wi you but ??. Would you be able to make a video on how to shot call in team games, what information should/should not be shared, who should call it, what things am I not even thinking about (let's assume your teammates are good enough to click and check items tho xD.)
I'd assume part of the reason Dark Seer is such a good hero is that he can do this with literally 0 risk of being ganked, but does this make a hero like Void a hard hero to pick because of this concept? Does it just make him a bad hero right now in general or does it just make teams more inclined to pick it as a carry as opposed to an offlaner? Most teams either have an easy way to clear waves or a hero who provides vision (normally both), but Void gives neither of those as an offlaner and doesn't even have a nuke to damage multiple creeps. Im pretty sure he is the one of only offlaner that is like this so it just seems like the hero doesn't provide enough to truly be viable in the meta as an offlaner. On top of that he has a super high cd ultimate that doesn't do damage on its own, so he lacks the ability to have a consistent large impact on team fights.
Great content man. If you want to do this a lot you should get a good mic. You can look up a blue yeti for a really good price and will increase your audio quality A LOT. It will be very helpful for us. Headphones mic are really bad. Can barely hear you in my laptop
As for the content u might wanna sew D2BOWIE Channel, maybe u cud get some ideas on what u wnna do in ur next video, he has some interesting topics, i absolutely recommend u watching him, i think ull be a big Channel
Hey, if you could make these videos a little louder it would be great, but if you're just not interested in any kind of editing then it's fine, can hear you fine pumping up the computer volume.
At some point Blitz I hope you touch on when to pick a jungler. Drives me crazy to see people freeze during selection and then just randomly grab a hero and go jungle because they don't know what hero the situation calls for or more commonly because they don't want to support. I think that goes back to your idea about good and bad farm because sure you can go hit creeps but if your lanes get smashed because you're not active with a more useful hero, what's the point? I actually ban Legion every game, not because I'm afraid of her but because I hate it when my teammates randomly jungle her.
make a vid about how to learn from your own replay, so people can do better.. many people told me to watch my replay but i can't highlight small mistakes i made just mistakes from big clash/plays lul
Loved it. It just highlighted to me some mechanics that I instinctively might have known but inherently didnt. Still hoping that you could show some storm plays since your last storm video was ages ago. Also another question is most pro players go for bloodstone 1st while I find that your video(orchid first) have a higher impact for me. Whats the difference and the situation on which bloodstone is better? Or if so how would bloodstone bring about bigger impact in Storm as compared to Orchid?
Perhaps you could talk about why (specific?) teams make the decisions they do? I dont mean blatantly obvious stuff but perspectives/content like this[1][2] is really informative and I really wish there was more discussions of *why* stuff happens in high level coordinated play rather than the everpresent case by case analysis [1]medium.com/@ferretdota/trying-to-understand-wings-map-movements-8026d1e5062a [2]medium.com/@ferretdota/some-observations-on-nps-sven-invoker-strategy-cd0403796ae9
This is pretty simple thing, they are leading, all cores are pushing lanes in, which allows Nyx to be in position where he is, in reality, in closer game, Nyx would get ganked/killed multiple times when he farms creep wave that deep into enemy map. One dust WD and BS would easily deal with him. You are talking about safe and unsafe farm and what are benefits of each, but I never see you die in replays multiple times when farming "unsafe" how you call it, which is what would happen in regular games, because other team tend to abuse lonely farmer on lane.
except nyx had wards in place specifically to allow him to play there, he's not stupid. Plus, everytime their heroes show up mid or bottom it's a good moment to shove top regardless.
Maybe you could make a video about map movement when playing from behind?
People can deny it , but these two videos you made really helped me as an offlane player. Helped me realize how I was supposed to make space and where I was supposed to farm and try to make kills happen and push towers.
just went offlane undying, and this advice really helped. created constant fights around me, and I really felt in control of the game for once +1 !
Hey Blitz, glad to see you back on UA-cam.
Your videos are extremely useful, knowledgable, and well appreciated.
Hope to see more during / after the TI hype train is over.
Cheers.
id love a video about teamfight positioning especialy by supports and carries difference in Tanky cores and burstheavy cores
i wish there were more of these type of contents available. most tutorial vids are for less than 3 and 4k players. this farm thing already made my game sense as core go super higher

Impact of landing kills / surviving kills versus free-farming, or contrast between fighting and free-farming
blitz is a savage
Early game pressure sounds like an interesting topic. It goes hand in hand with hero picks (if your carry can deal with the offlaner alone, if mid can 1vs1 safely), but anything to let my team stop doing inefficent dual offlanes

finding farm when behind, basically when the enemy is so far ahead they can just freely dive whoever they see on the map whenever they want.
I would love a video where you talk about how to make better deciscions as a team, specifically how decent mmr amateur teams can improve their hero movement in the mid to lategame and when to take which objective. Thank you alot for your videos!
yes I would very much like to see a video on these pushing ideas in a game where you are behind or when showing can result in a very easy death .
I subscribed for this series you're doing, always nice to hear some insight from another perspective... sincerely a 6k player
I absolutely love your content, your a very clear speaker please make more videos like this
for everyone saying that you are unable to do this when you are behind is actually so stupid, the kind of map movement focused here is rather based on the early mid game where you usually won't be losing so HARD that you are so susceptible to be ganked for pushing out waves and if you do lose that hard in the early mid game whatever you do would be futile. I lost a Spirit Breaker game this week that we were definitely ahead in, and(one of the reasons) is because I didn't push waves enough.
Got here after I saw you with day9. You had some really good advice.
wish you would make more of these
I love that someone that is high level player makes dota 2 content. I feel like dota2 lacks higher level content, and this is breath of fresh air. Keep making this kind of videos Blitz!

hi blitz, what about heros which threaten you solo pushing? eg storm/puck/sb/bh
how can you make this work when playing from behind?the enemy will be the one shoving the lanes. what should you do then?
Well, if the enemy shove all 3 lanes at the same time they're vulnerable to ganks. If they're not then you can shove out one lane for sure. Smoke gank the one lane that is most likely going to get you a kill
drop all items and afk in fountain until you lose
as an avid BSJ viewer, i can tell you that the first thing you should do is to identify your blame target.
scream dota outloud 3 times and slap your butt with a stick
missed our boy blitz storm. keep up the videoes man
I would like to see a video about what differentiates the players at each bracket. Like a 2k from 3k, 4k, 5k, etc.
Nice job, Blitz!!! This is so helpful for players trying to improve!!!
Video idea - How to understand hero and item timings. Like what's the time window for me to do things etc
besides good farm and bad farm, can you talk about farming patterns?
王寒冰 watch high mmr games in player perspective. Preferably watch rtz am
Happy that you are back man and can you make atleast one more storm replay analysis?
Cheers for the vids so far! Very useful!!
I'm in the lower 4K and seem to be losing a lot of games because of missed timings. It would be great if you can share some info about that.
Example 1: Get a kill in enemy jungle but instead of pushing the tower we chase for a while or kill creeps in the jungle. GG
Example 2: Our team needs to be the one to win early but people don't itemise for the same timing. GG
etc.
Thanks again!

the first 10 mins of the game for every role please!
Can you do a video about what supports who can't push waves easily can do to force movements?
Can you make some insight of laning phase on early game? like when to push towers and alo safelane farming patterns.
william "push the lanes" lee
Make a video about tempo.
I suspect I'm not alone in not knowing what the hell Tempo is.
Its easy to understand in the context of a turn-based game, and I think these two videos touch upon a bit of what it means in DOTA2. I suspect its a very nebulous and important concept, and I don't see any videos that give satisfying answers.
tempo in dota means efficiency. in higher level games, people are way more efficient with their time and therefore increase the matches tempo
Tempo meaning speed. Are you fast or slow (lower pressure).
Therefore, despite what other heroes your team might have, puck is setting the tempo.
your voice is very quiet in these videos btw
idont think so
Jakawe's right, your videos are very quiet. Maybe raise the volume 1.75 times?
yeah i to hear him i had to max volume of youtube, windows AND headset, all of which usually don't need to be maxed on my pc. And he was still somewhat low
You are a bit quiet, Blitz. Loving these videos though :)
Not just a bit quiet- the volume is too low to watch comfortably. I think the videos are great, but the volume HAS to be fixed.
what to do in off-lane and mid lane in first 10 min!
I would really like a video on what you should be doing as a carry during this mid game lane shoving. Afk farm jungle because space created? Shove another lane simultaneously?
bless you for making these
Great video. You're dropping knowledge that people can't handle; but they need to know.
Gif moar plz.
As stacking is back, can you tell us when is the best time to leave a lane and stack without causing any harm to our carry? Thank you :) Your vids are very informative.
Nice to have you back bro
can you make content on pos-4 ? anything would be informative. thanks.
defensive dual safelane (from support perspective) when ur in a hard 2v2 matchup plz - a video about this
Excellent example
Could you talk about your thought process in teamfights? For example, I am a very agressive player and when I play carries like AM, I sometimes go in first instead of waiting for my initiator like Cent to start the fight. Hey Blitz, great video man. I was wondering, how did you lose so much weight?
Since there are 5 people on a team, how do you decide who pushes out what lane? And assuming you have 1 guy per lane, are the other 2 then fine to take the safe farm in their jungle/ancient areas?
i will sound really cocky but when i told my lower friends about this, theyre 3k 4k ish, they won't listen and just farm jungle and watch as I push a tower alone. i am 6k and am their friend, but somehow they just won't listen. i hope after i showed this, they'd think differently.. thanks blitz
Abraham Sullivan then they're fuckin stupid. people with egos don't become better players .
How about some videos on common Mid Matchups. Like Lina vs qop, etc
Hey Blitz how about a video explaining when it's okay to abandon your lane as an offlane/mid vs when you should try to at least defend your tower vs when you can just ditch everything and go do something else? I feel it's a lot more subjective and in the same direction as your other vids
I meant to say when it's absolutely crucial for you to not leave your lane, just realised I mentioned the same point twice in 2 different ways
need more of this
Hey blitz good video, kinda surprising anyone would argue this wi you but ??. Would you be able to make a video on how to shot call in team games, what information should/should not be shared, who should call it, what things am I not even thinking about (let's assume your teammates are good enough to click and check items tho xD.)
Blitz keep these coming no pandering.
please make a video about void :P
you said he is not a good pusher, but what makes him viable then? :O
I'd assume part of the reason Dark Seer is such a good hero is that he can do this with literally 0 risk of being ganked, but does this make a hero like Void a hard hero to pick because of this concept? please play storm as in the past
