@@OnlineTennisInstruction Thanks for the answer. Many people focus on the depth of the drop - which you can absolutely get with a back to front drop. But I think that right to left movement gives you more power because of the stretch that you can feel.

So why is right to left better then back to front? Is it the stretch in the shoulder that you feel more with the right to left?
You come in to the racket drop from a better angle, which makes it easier to maximally pre-stretch the muscles around the shoulder.
