4:20 Carrier Forms generally are Grunts and Jackals. They are too small for combat forms so the flood infection forms swarm them, convert their cells, then grow new infection forms in the balloon-like sack on their back which bursts open.
The halo 3 rat does indeed appear in reach's campaign. It spawns in the mission "The Package" in the red lit room when you re-enter swordbase. Prolly appears elsewhere, but it's the most noticeable.
There are those mangled elites and marines in Halo CE as well as the model of Maranda with spikes on her back and Johnson with a hole in his chest in Halo 3.
That Reach Gar Fish was designed improperly. The tail should be vertical like a fish, not horizontal like a dolphin. But great video as usual, General Heed.

It's just that they only are in the segment when one of the Marine commanders states the power was cut. So basically you are in the dark and it was hard to see them. They are used all over the map in the dark places. They're killable and can be spotted easily with Nigh Vision.
The shielded flood carrier is absolutely adorable. Proper h behavior. Also Noble team in halo 4 automatically makes the game look better. Halo 4 armors were so offensively rude and nasty, thank god someone snuck the good models in even if they werent used.

A lot of the Halo reach animals were actually there. Just only in specific missions and areas. The raven and rat can be found during Exodus. Roaches are in the return to sword base. Hawks fly over somewhere on the first mission. I don’t know about the others.
I think the raven is also in tip of the spear, tho I'm not certain. I do know that the porcupine was never in the released game. One of the b.net weekly updates from a few weeks before the game came made mention of the little guy. Apparently there was a pretty big bug attached to it that they couldn't iron out before the game went gold. I think if it had been in the game it was supposed to be in the winter contingency mission.

Funfact: the noble team head biped replacing their helmets in cutscenes is the same trick they used in ODST for sgt johnson, however the biped used there was the firefight johnson one instead of it's own dedicated one which is why johnsons hat is grey in the cutscenes. As an aside, i think the banger form was meant to be spawned by tank forms, since they do have the ability to spawn infection forms
I was playing halo reach on the 360 and then I died on the last mission and it respawn me and said there will be another time. Kind of confused me maybe it was a glitch with the respon and the text maybe was a dialog part that was cut idk just thought it was odd thought I should tell the best "glitch" lore and other stuff like that creator Edit: love the vid :)
The only way to respawn is if you die from out of bounds. The mission doesn’t end when six dies but when he reaches like 1 hp. when you go out of bounds you will die but since you died and the cutscene pops, it resets.

Those spheres with the chrome reflection sphere and the grey sphere are most likely lighting IBL's. In visual effects the VFX artist would have those as reference to light their scenes with (so it would light the scene based on the HDRI of that chrome sphere). Very cool to know that those chrome sphere's are in game as it means you could effectively extract perfect lighting conditions to the game from them......
The Gar fish is actually commonly called the "alligator gar" or "gator gar". And they are deadly, but are very doctile. Best to say is just leave them be tbh lol. Grandpa catches them all the time. -Your viewer from the South

I wish I remembered the title of the book, the art was beautiful. The "Pretty Spartan" looks like it just has slightly sharper textures (see the body glove behind the knee), and probably has a higher polycount (hence the framerate drop) The rat is seen throughout the Reach campaign. on New Alexandria for sure in the lower parts of the opening area.
My guess is that for the shielded floor carrier, they probably decided it was too annoying. Unlike jackals they didn't flinch when you hit their hand, so that would not have been much fun to have like 4 or 5 of these coming up to you. Sometimes as a game dev, you just have to accept that if an idea doesn't make the game more fun, that maybe you're better off just scratching the idea. Same with the Banger-Infection Forms. Those probably moreso since they aren't even visually distinct from the normal ones. So shooting infection forms would basically become a gamble.
The Creature in the first Halo game was suppose to be a Flood/Covenant enemy that would hover in a undecided form weather that be a jetpack or anything of that nature. The creature had a chance to take control of a living marine - The creatures mouth swallows the marine's head - The Creatures tentacles cross over the torso of the marine - The Marine fights for the covenant The Person I know also said " i think THATS where we came up with the floating gravity chair but was so short on time we used the idea for Regret's Gravity Chair in the Second game. The bottom half of that chair was the default look of the First creatures Hover Device.

If you ever catch one while fishing, you might as well cut your line. The teeth are quite sharp and makes it very difficult to retrieve your lure.
