Hey everyone! My cage was the 5th cage! Thank you to Autumn for reviewing my cage and thank you to everyone else who said that I should be covering the ramp with fleece and coroplast! I do have a covering for the ramps, it was just in the wash while I was taking these pictures. But yes, that's very important to cover any ramps, grids etc so you don't have to deal with bumble foot, vet trips, and spending money! Thank you again to everyone that mentioned it! It is very important for anyone else who's piggies are living on grids to see the constructive criticisms!
Thank you for taking it so well! I was hoping I didn’t upset you by mentioning it. I’ve just seen on one of my Facebook groups the affects of bumble foot, and it must be so painful for them! :)
Hey Autumn! Thanks for reviewing my cage! (cage 2). Everybody was saying the ramp looked steep but my boys never had trouble going up it haha. I did end up making the cage completely vertical though so that they can just run through it all without any tall ramps!
i think your cage is very good but as piggies get older its harder to get up ramps so maybe you could do a different set up with the ones you already had
Awesome video autumn I love all of the nice tips you gave everyone! I hope to see my cage in a future one!☺️ everyones cages looked beautiful!! Also a tip for the people with lofts: putting a blanket over the top is an easy way to make a hide and my piggies love it!!💞💞
Hello I’m a super fan!!! I just wanted to help you out with the cow print fleece, I have mine from kavee it’s a worldwide shipping side, and the fleece from there has worked out perfectly!!! :)
How did you do that? when I do them all together. Then there are only bad fights again😭 I have 3 pretty calm guinea pigs, and the other 3 are super dominant. I had to make a 2x2x2 group. so that there are no injuries...
Hey!!! So excited you reviewed my cage!! I'm the owner of the three boys for Cage #1 😊 I have since updated and added a bigger litter/hay area for them and regularly buy them willow balls and other toys for them to push around, they just seem to have more fun moving their houses around 🤣🤣 Thanks for the review! We love your channel!!
You know, I was looking at your haul video last week, and I've bought some items from the same shop you bought your teepee beds from, it's a really nice shop! Just wanted to share a shop I've found over the past few weeks. It's called my 3 guinea pigs, and she posts short videos sometimes on UA-cam, she sells beautiful little pillows to decorate cages, bell peppers, some different fruits and vegetables, they're super soft and cuddly, and make the cage look great, and reasonably priced too! They're great for themes, and this seller had an unfortunate accident which left her and her son disabled, and she has guinea pigs to help with depression, and decided to open a shop to help support herself and her son! She's such a courageous woman, can you please mention her shop in a video? You can go to Etsy or Instagram to see her merchandise. Thank you! Love the channel!
@@autumngrace. Thank you so much, I remember you said you were going to do a strawberry themed cage, I'm sure she can help with that! Can't wait to see it!
I have an issue with my fleece where my water bottles are! The poops are getting smashed into the fleece because of them peeing by their water and its impossible to get out of the fleece!
Try going to the dollar tree, they have these dish mats that work great as extra padding on top of fleece and only. Dollar i think that would solve the issue get atleast 2 so u can change them out and wash them often!:) i put one under each hide and under the water bottles
Hey autumn Tysm for reviewing my cage! I’m Louise and I actually have a water bowl for him it’s kinda hidden tho ☺️ I would also like to mention I have tried bonding him before with another piggy but he was scared and they couldn’t get along maybe in the future I will try bonding him with a younger pig ☺️☺️
Ok thanks for letting me know!! Also being scared is completely normal in the bonding process and you should only separate if they are overly aggressive and blood is drawn!
hehe hi again!!! i was wondering... my cages base is all paper bedding because i find it soaks up there pee and poo so they dont step in it. theyre outdoor section has a blanket down. should i switch the inside to something different? or do you hav any good reccomendations and if so why are they good and also the ros and cons of them? also yet ANOTHER question! how big or what should the square footage of a cage be for two piggies? thank you for your constant replies!
if the paper bedding is working for you then that's great! I like my fleece and washable puppy pad method (video here: ua-cam.com/video/3cmPX2As4vw/v-deo.html) because I find it saves me money and I like the way it looks! For two pigs you want at least 8 square feet but 10 is preferred especially if they are males! hope this helps!
I'm just getting one Guinea pig, my mom, won't let me get anymore than one. I have to talk her into it maybe I can see if she likes how I'm taking care of what and make sure she gets me another one. Because people are saying. That you can only have that you can't haveone
If you can’t get two don’t get one at all. Also if your mom isn’t on board a guinea pig probably isn’t the best pet for you, as they can have very expensive vet bills you would need an adult to pay.
@@lyriqholder3320 nope! Guinea pigs need other guinea pigs humans do not speak their language. Please do not just adopt one it will be lonely and depressed
I'm late but I'm a new subscriber, I have one male he absolutly hates every guinea pig I have introduced him to. I even tryed a spayed female from the shelter we took him up there to bond but he literally was so aggressive so hes a loner. We actually have a spare room so I have a bunch of fleece tunnels and lots of stuff in there for him. He has a complete decked out room does have a cage it's a huge c and so he can go in and sleep wha th ever he wants to do. Hes very spoiled I got him from the pet store before I knew that's bad so no hate comments please. I have had him for 4 years hes such an awesome addition to our family.
Great video! I am going to send my piggies cage in soon! Do you have any certain toy recommendations though? I have trouble finding ones that my piggies actually use. Thanks!
My pigs really like the niteangel forage ball once they figured out how to use it! I started using it with the hole all the way open and rolled it around to show them. I put pellets in forage inside of it. If they don't really use too many toys you could also feed them their veggies and forages by mixing it into their hay for enrichment! Mine also like willow balls and hay/rye rings
#7 cages hay rack in the loft is hard to eat hay from and is dangerous (a lot of people has said this in other videos so i am quite sure that this is true) :D
I’m going to get 30 grids soon for my 2 male guinea pigs and i’m very limited with supplies because here in Brazil guinea pigs aren’t common so pet stores don’t provide many things for them. After i save enough money i’m going to buy the grids but i have no where to buy fleece (because most youtuber stores are very expensive when converting to reais and shipping to brazil is also expensive) but i’m thinking puppy pads and some child blanket so they don’t eat the pads. This is my best idea but i’m not sure if it’s ok so i would really love your opinion on this idea. love your videos 🥰🧡
Yes any fleece blanket works!! Just make sure you “wick” it which means to wash it a ton until the water goes through the blanket and doesn’t sit on top
My guinea pig is 4 and a half years old. We had 3 but 2 of them recently died around 3 months ago. I am wanting to get another piggie for her but can’t manage to find any female pigs up for adoption, I will keep looking though. Do you think it’s worth getting another pig when she is nearly 5 years old? I don’t want to get a baby pig because I don’t think she would bond well with one.
I think it’s worth giving it a shot! Why don’t you want a baby? I’ve heard babies can be the easiest to bond older or more dominant pigs with Bc they will automatically take the submissive role
@@autumngrace. it is possibly an option, I thought they were he worst to bond so thank you! It is because I will be moving to boarding college in about a year so I will not be there to look after the pigs and a baby could live for around 5 or 6 years so I won’t be there for a lot of that time and it is mainly me who looks after them the most.
Lmrs lounge, one thing I noticed that needs to be fixed, otherwise it will cause serious damage to their piggies feet, is the grids that attach the two cages together, that are like little ramps needs to be covered, either with cardboard, cloroplast, with fleece, or something firm to cover them so they don’t get bumblefoot. Which is very painful for the piggie.
I have a unrelated question! Do you feed vitamin c tabs daily? I’m always worried about my piggies getting enough so I have been feeding them daily. Is that okay?
I don’t feed them daily to my three girls because they get sweet peppers daily! However honey is picky and refuses to eat sweet peppers and only sometimes eats the green ones so I give her one daily. (She also hardly eats her pellets, and I’m not too sure what to do about that.) I don’t think you can give too much vitamin c their bodies just get rid of it but the tabs are expensive so if they’re eating their peppers daily I wouldn’t worry about tabs daily as well maybe just every once in awhile ! But it’s up to you!
Idk if it’ll be included in the next part but this is my guinea pigs cage: ua-cam.com/video/l1-DPPoTswM/v-deo.html (all the information is in the description)
I wouldn’t recommend letting small animals walk over the grids laying in between the two attached cages! For rabbits that is a huge risk that they would get there feet/legs caught!
